wouldn't let me post without an avatar, why did it make me choose a female? no matter which gender symbol i clicked it only allowed THIS avatar. how do i change any hair or can i change gender. or am i just not understanding.

Your avatar is male, not female, so I am not sure I understand the problem correctly. You can change your gender in your account settings ucp.php?i=profile&mode=reg_details
You can change your hair in your wardrobe, if you have purchased wigs, ory ouc an change it in the Cutting crew for a smaller fee, if you don't want to keep the hair as a wig.
