sounds like enough time if I remember to post more but trouble is I sometimes don't know what to say and when I do the Cavern is often gone

But posting at other times still grants donuts!
Not that often, it's quite random, but you can get 3 donuts in a single post.
I got plenty of donuts in between caravan visits.
