Ahh it’s cooled down here a LOT. like it’s nice now lol.

I don’t like people asking about my age either lol. Although when I give them a general ballpark, they don’t believe me because I don’t look my age lol.

i don't like people asking my age either, but when I am I'm honest about it,.I was even accused of having a fake ID... i wouldn't even know where to get one... -A-

But there is this rule, where males aren't allowed to ask women for their age.

And seriously think about this. Older women tell this to boys as they grow up...

Boys become adult males, don't ask for ages, get caught with underaged girls (or boys at this point) JUST because he didn't ask. They're taught not to ask girls their age, then go to jail for not making sure she was over 18.

It's a stupid rule, why did it ever exist, and its not just a movie thing as I've seen it happen.. ono

I also don't look my age.
I remember visiting my mom in prison and every single guard would take my ID then ask "How old are you?" and I'd tell them, and they'd say "No, you're not!" or "Stop lying!"
This one woman even thought I was 13 or 14 ._.
To me, I look my age but the whole world says I don't.
I know my age so I guess that's why I can't tell I look younger xD

Yeah, people lying about their age in a relationship is wrong.
I don't care if they're underage, they lied.
But people will say the older person is 100% at fault eventhough they were LIED to.
They wouldn't have gotten with the person if the person hadn't lied.
Sorry, you're taking some of them blame because you lied.

I know this Youtuber I watch told this story of him and his friend meeting these two girls.
His friend was dating and having sex with his girl for like a month.
He went to pick her up at her house and her mom was like "Your boyfriend's here!" then she looked at the friend and was like "....How old do you think my daughter is?" and he confusingly said "18?" and she said "Boy, my daughter is 13 years old!"
The daughter told him she was 18.
If he had known she was 13, he would never have been with her.
And I'm supposed to put all the blame on him?

I also don't get why it's rude to ask a woman her age.
You may not like to be asked and that's ok, but why is it rude?
I mean I don't like being asked what I ate for lunch, but if someone asked me I would thought it odd - not rude. And I might choose to not reply, yes, but not because the question itself was rude, just because I may prefer not to share that piece of information with other people and it's just alright.

I think the whole age thing is taken way too seriously.
I'm 41, I have little wrinkles, I have plenty of white hairs. I'm not young anymore and it's not a big deal.



The youtuber's friend case sounds a bit odd though. I mean, he was having sex with her... but never had a chat with her?
I talk to 13yo people on a daily basis, and god knows they don't sound at all like adult women!
A mature one could pass for a 16yo, sure, but above 18? No way.
Just ask her anything about her daily life, and her age will become quite obvious.


But what strikes me the most is the mother attitude, it might be a cultural thing though.
Having a boyfriend at only 13, most parents here would like to know the guy even before the first date!

The only time I “lie” about my age is whenever I get those really annoying calls asking for the home owner or if I’m 18 yrs old. And then I’m like NO and hang up. XD

I mean, to be fair I've been told I don't act like I'm 32.
Everyone tells me I talk and act way younger.
I've been a shut-in and sheltered since I was about 15-17 so I've not been out, experienced life and been put in situations most people have.
Age doesn't always dictate maturity.
I struggle with this because I know I don't act my age and fear people will always say "YOU'RE 32 SO ACT LIKE IT!"

The friend was 19 at the time and he just randomly started talking to the girl and she was like "No, I'm not 13 I'm legally an adult 8u" and he was like "Okay u8888"
I don't want to assume things about people, but I think he was young, reckless, and just wanted someone to sleep with.
So in his mind, he didn't consider she may have been lying to him.
He found someone who said she was legal age and he just went for it.
I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong because legally he did - I'm saying that if he had known she was lying, the crime wouldn't have occurred 8u
Complete blame should be shared not placed on just one person.

I don't know what's normal for mothers when it comes to kids dating.
I've never dated anyone - not even had a first kiss.
I didn't want to be with anyone and was happy being home, playing games, drawing and watching anime xD

I’ve never been in a relationship either. And I have a younger sister who’s been at least two, her current one included. XD I’ve never held hands, never been kissed….xD like must there be an age for this kind of stuff? I personally don’t think so lol.

My husband was my only boyfriend, and I started dating him at 29.
Definetely there is not an age for anything.

I guess it's easier if you do the same kind of things other people do at roughtly the same time. At least you have something in common with your fellow coetaneous, maybe even someone to talk to about it.
But it's not a big deal if you don't.

Wow respect man. To be honest, I’m not sure if I can see myself in a relationship like that lol. I dunno, I guess it’s never really occurred to me lol. I’d like to find a companion perhaps, more of a friend. ^^
