Hello friends, welcome to Quill & Canvas!
We're essentially an OC-centric hangout, but over the course of the years,
Q&C has more or less become a place where Mikael pokes his head in from
time to time to prove to everyone that he's still alive. *facehands*
If you've got art to share or stories to discuss, we'd love to see and hear it!
You don't need to be an artist or a writer to have a good time around these
parts, though; any form of friendly conversation is welcomed!

An old doodle of a minor OC, Cassian. He's a gingerbread man and a steward of one of the
manors of a faery fiefdom. I originally wanted to flesh him out a bit more, but we didn't
connect well and I ended up replacing him with another character. He still exists in my
story, but everyone pretty much considers him as a person from the past.

Supporting Characters
The people we grew up with and the friendships we make affect our lives. Do you guys take into account when creating OCs?
Do you give them family members? If so, how do you pick what kind of family you'd like to give them? What are some familial relationships you've developed for your characters?
What about friends? Are you characters more like loners, or do they just have a best friend, or are they the type to hang with a close kit circle of friends? Do they just have a bunch of casual friendships? Do you ever think about how your characters first met their friends? What kind of friendships have you developed, and how did you decide on them?
What about other relationships? Rivalries, romantic relationships, partnerships, work and school relationships, etc. Are most of the relationships developed for your characters more circumstantial, or were they formed with intent?
