I just need to get 8 yards of fabric for the outside of my coat, and figure out a way to waterproof it before it snows. I've got the lining, and most of the inner warmth layer (I think I need to get another couple quilt batting sheets for that...)

Today was weird. I was sniffly, sleepy, and breaking out in hive type things.

our power was out most of the day yesterday. Sunday night, a HUGE limb fell on our patio, totally busting one window, and breaking the outer pane of a second, breaking a tile on our patio table, and yanking the power cable out enough to be an arcing danger. The electric company came by yesterday morning and turned the power off, and removed the cable from the house entirely. An electrician came by and brought the connection point up to code, and then it took until almost 8pm for the electricity to be restored. we didn't have enough candles to provide suitable lighting for reading or anything (by my standards), so I went to bed super early.

O_O Holey socks. Living in houses is getting scarier and scarier to me. I'm glad that you guys are okay and it was only a power out. *hug!*

naw, the power out was after the branch was cleared away. The power company removed the wire leading to the house, because it was an arcing danger. But we got power back that night, so we were good afterward. Window is still plywooded over, no idea how long that'll be.

I'm just glad nobody was in the kitchen when the window got broken

I'm working on my costume for the Halloween wedding I'm going to. Just need to finish tracing the pattern onto the outer fabric for my coat, and then I can assemble it. Thinking about using the leftover outer fabric to make myself a pair of gloves to go with, too. Still gotta finish my hat though, and the hat for a friend.

Matching gloves would be a nice touch.

I've also got material left over from making the lining, so I can use that to make the lining of my GINORMOUS dice bag, and the pouches that hold all the dice.
