I actually got super lucky with that, I found it on a sales table and there was just enough left for the pattern :D
And then I didn't follow how the pattern laid out the pieces, because I wanted the stripes to go the other way and I still managed to make it fit. I have only some really small scraps left over :D

I guess it must have been :)

Yesterday evening I assembled the pockets:

They still need to be attached to the skirt of course.
If I ever make another skirt following this pattern (and using a similar thick fabric), I'd consider using a different, thinner fabric for the decorative pieces on the pockets though. It was quite hard to pin all the layers together (it's four different pieces at some seams) and has gotten quite bulky. I like how my design with how I laid out the pieces on the stripes turned out though :) I wanted to give it a bit more interest by orienting the stripes on the decorative pieces the other way. I did the same for the waistband, hoping it will look just as nice :)

Ohh, it's so great to see you posting pics Chrizine! I regret not logging in so long, but I haven't been good at taking and posting pics, and most things I'm working on are going reeeeally slow. Atm I'm working on a crochet chibi stormtrooper doll lol and a crochet unicorn. For a long time actually, but I'm almost done with the unicorn. Both are challenging because I need to add threads for hair to the unicorn, and need to embroider a bit on the stormtrooper doll... gonna have to figure out how to do that. I've been mostly focusing on painting commissions lately. And playing games xD

Those both sound like interesting projects :) And it's nice that they both have an element of something new for you to try out :) I'm sure you'll figure out both the hair and the embroidering nicely!

I worked some more on my skirt today, I attached the pockets (had to do it by hand because they were just too thick... -.-) and worked on the edges and the hem. Unfortunately I just ran out of thread in the middle of the hem :( Which is really frustrating, especially with tomorrow being sunday so I can't get any more until the day after tomorrow...
Once I finish the hem only the waistband will be left to do! So it feels like I'm really close to the finish line now :)

Oh I almost forgot, I'm also making a tiny amigurumi cat with a thinner thread, made some progress on it today (finished head + ears)
Even though my fingers hurt from washing my underwear lmao xDDD
