I love reading about similar things, but it makes me so anxious and afraid about my life, I do not do it too often. Though what I like the most is all types of videos where professionals dissect and discuss criminal scenes from the movies. I am a very curious person, so when I hear them saying "this is not a way of disposing human body efficiently", I need to go and google why, what would work better, etc. Learning how human body reacts to different chemical and treatments is quite fascinating.

ShortAxel: I watch Bailey Sarian too x3

Yeah, all this true crime stuff can weigh heavy on people.
I think I'm too far down the rabbit hole that nothing hits me as hard as it does others.
What I find interesting is horrible to others and I sometimes don't think about that before I talk to them xD;

i like it better when it's fiction. when it happens to real people i just kind of get caught up in how tragic it is. fictional mysteries are always really interesting to me, though.

I loooove true crime. I listen to several different podcasts, watch shows and documentaries and read stuff about true crime all the time. Does anyone remember the Chris Watts case? Where his pregnant wife and daughters went “missing”? When I first heard about it I had said he did it, and then I was right. Recently all the stuff came out about the case and the police tapes and stuff and it was so interesting but also horrifying.

I think that’s what people don’t understand is I don’t ENJOY the things that have happened to people but it’s interesting to learn about them. I can’t wrap my mind around how another person could be lacking so much emotionally that they’re able to kill another human it’s crazy.

Yeah, I saw a lot of people saying Chris Watts killed his wife, unborn child and daughters because of his complete lack of emotion.
That was a horrific crime and I don't see how you can murder your own children the way he did.
Like I'm not the biggest fan of kids, but they're innocent and defenseless.
Only a real monster can hurt kids like that - especially their own.

Sadly, there seems to be an influx of parents murdering their own kids and acting so distraught and worried when they know damn well they killed them.

Yeah, I'm a very empathetic person so I don't find pleasure in others hurting and suffering.
I do like to learn about the victims and who they were.
I also like to learn how a monster thinks.
Learn about their thought processes and be able to read people better and maybe even help someone some day.
But I genuinely do find Forensics really enjoyable to learn about.

my mom likes watching stuff like that. I can't handle it, because no matter what, my empathy gets in the way and I end up a mess.

It's perfectly understandable that you can't handle it.

Crimes towards children hit me harder than they used to because I was an only child until I turned 18. I have a little sister now and any time I hear about these horror stories, all I can think of is "What if it happened to my sister?"
So it's even easier to feel bad for people and want to prevent horrible things.

If I could, I would help solve and prevent as many cases as I could.
