Tell me some nice things about your day/week/month?

My depression is lapping up all the sad news atm and so I'm feeling a general sense of doom about the world...
So any nice stories you guys have from recent days would be a massive help haha

I don't have any big nice stories. But the weather has been nice here. I've been able to keep windows open and hang laundry on the line. And my mean neighbor moved out. And we heard another neighbor telling someone else that she feels so much more comfortable being outside with Mean Neighbor gone, and that is just how we feel, so it was nice to hear someone else say the same thing. We've been getting a lot of yard work done with her gone. And I got two little tables that someone put to the curb. And I put out a little table with books for neighbors to do no contact book trades, and I saw 4 people come to it this weekend, which is a lot for my quiet street.

I've had some bad days lately, but I'm trying to be kind to myself and do some nice things today

To take my mind off bad stuff, I like to re-watch things that I have already seen. I find it comforting and distracting, yet I also don't have to think too hard.

50 First Dates is a weird guilty pleasure film for me - I know it's not really a 'good' film, but it just makes me feel happier c:

He walked with me last night and he lets us pet him sometimes.
He used to just run if we even looked at him, so for him to get close to us and let us pet him and feed him, it's neat.

There's this lovely marbled grey cat that lives on the route to my doctors - it always used to be fairly shy, but it was trapped outside in the pouring rain one day when I was walking that way - it looked so sad and wet, so I managed to tempt it over, sheltered it with my umbrella and then dried it with my skirt haha
Ever since then it's been super friendly and comes running to me whenever I go to the doctors c:

Let's see...happy stories...I got it! Yesterday a wild canary landed on my mom's windmill and it started to turn. The canary got all upset and went to the other side of the windmill thinking that would work better. It turned again. That silly canary was 10 kinds of confused and flew off.

I hope you like animals because I usually have a lot of animal stories. I'm an animal nut.

This cat seems to come to me when I call for my cat Momo.
When I call for her, he'll meow and come running to me.
I tell him "You're not Momo >8u" but he meows at me and always comes running xD

We actually had two black kittens that were always around a couple years ago.
They disappeared, though. Now this cat is around and we were wondering if he was one of the kittens.
The kittens - they looked very similar but one had a white spot on his chest and the other had a white spot on his belly.
I thought this cat was pure black, but he has a few white furs on his chest.
So he may be one of the kittens o_O

I saw this wasp building a nest on my aunt's porch.
It flew away and she knocked the nest down with a broom.
The wasp came back a few seconds later and it couldn't understand where its nest went.
It was looking all around for it.
It was like "Time to finish my home-- What the!? W-where'd it go!? I know I was building it here! What!?"
I've never seen an insect look so confused xD

I am doing much better now thankfully - although had a bit of a bad anxiety time earlier because I was having to report repairs on my house to the landlord and I always worry about that - plus the water damage that needs fixing is worse than I thought and I'm now worrying about how their gonna fix it/ how safe it is xP

Haha, awe, the canary story is cute :3

Once when I was younger/ still living with my parents I woke up to a sparrow that had flown in through my bedroom window - it was actually weirdly scary, it's wings were loud and it was panicked and flying in circles around the room so fast

Anyway, it flew into the room oposite mine (my door had pushed open by my dog at some point in the morning probably) as I got out of bed and hid under some furniture in there.
I ended up leaving a trail of sunflower seeds from it's hiding place to the window in that room and shut the door - when I checked in again later, both the sunflower seeds and the bird were gone haha
