I generally don't give money to strangers asking for it, regardless of how they look. i'd rather donate to a charity organization.
it happened a few times of course. sometimes someone just catches me in a generous mood or I actually do have some cash on me (I usually have none, long live cards). therefore i have quite a few experiences with swindlers asking for money, even using the excuse that it is for a bus ticket - after giving them the money I saw those same people 1h later still in that spot asking people for bus ticket money...

I never carry money on my person, and it doesn't matter how good you look, nobody is touching my phone!

Give them a dollar if I have it? And if they need to make a call, I'd give them another dollar if there is a pay phone near by.
Bc while my phone is cheap, I wish to keep it.

i don't have money literally ever, but if i had a dollar to give him and that's all he needed, i'd give him a dollar.
if i had more money than a dollar on me, i'd give more to the person who looks haggard. me too, buddy.

I don't carry cash so I don't offer that. If someone asked for food or something while outside of a store, I may try and grab some extra if I can.

I think I would give them money (in both cases). If somebody is wearing nice clothes, it doesn't really mean that they are doing okay.
Maybe the first man got this clothes from a charity.
I've been giving money to people living on the street since I was little. It's kind of something that I got from my parents, because they always try to help poor people.
So, for sure I'd help those people in both scenarios.

If I had the money I would probably give them both enough for that phone call and bus fair. The thing is that I never ever carry cash with me so I always feel so bad when someone asks. Like I would if I had any but when I say that it feels like such a cheap excuse. But i swear i just dont carry any. It's a different story if they ask me to buy them food or something I could totally do that.
