This was my favorite show when I was growing up.
I never missed it and I've seen nearly every episode 100 times.
I wish they'd bring it back or make a new version.
Some of the stories gave me the creeps eventhough they were pretty tame xD

Yes! I loved this show, too :). I watched it again recently (it was on Netflix I think) and some of it's pretty silly, but it was creepy at the time.

The slang they use is pretty funny at times.
90s slang.
I watched it with my bestie and she kept saying the slang and we'd both laugh xD

I watched it when it first aired in the early 90's

since I was kid back then alot of the episodes gave me nightmares... some where so scary I'd sleep with the nightlight on and I HATE having any light on when I go to bed.

some episodes were pretty lame but others more then made up for them and from a 10 year old point of view it was a show to look forward to every Wednesday

I remember getting out of school, my parents buying me a Happy Meal, and it'd be Friday and I'd go home and watch it.
That was the highlight of my days as a kid xD

I don't think I've ever watched that show... o.o Is it anything like Goosebumps?? I used to LOVE the Goosebumps, so if it's anything like that I might check it out. I still watch all the old shows I used to watch as a kid, even now. I haven't grown up at heart haha. xD

i remember watching are you afraid of the dark as a kid.
i liked it a lot. in terms of creepiness it didn't quite match up to goosebumps imo, but it was still a really good show.

Well, it's not similar to Goosebumps, but kind of similar?

It's about kids sitting around a campfire and every episode a kid tells a creepy story.

I liked both Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark, though xD

Haha, okay. :mccute: I think I had heard about it but I don't remember ever watching it... It's too bad they don't still play old shows like that on Tv anymore. =\ I miss watching Goosebumps when it played on TV. I looked forward to it a lot. >.<

I'll see if I can find it though. We have a few Pawn shops and thrift stores here where I live and they sometimes sell old movies and stuff. Who knows, maybe i'll get lucky and find one. :)
