I finished my first book of the year! *blows confetti everywhere* It was so fun! Although I really should finish the first position on the list

I am making no progress on book two for the year. I was so excited to start it. I read the first 40 or so pages. And haven't touched it in a month. I get a sneaky feeling I won't get 10 books read for this year because my other hobbies got me hooked on working on them.

I finished The Great Trouble: A Mystery of London, The Blue Death, and a Boy Called Eel. It was pretty good.

I FINALLY finished my second book of the year! Malice by John Gwynne. It was really good and I find the world and characters.

Next up is The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin. I should hopefully get through this one faster as it's an ebook as I tend to read those faster since I can pull those up on my phone to read when I'm bored in the car, etc.

I read Cousin Kate by Georgette Heyer. It was pretty good but nothing too special. People keep raving about Georgette Heyer, so I keep reading her stuff, but I'm usually like meh.

I read Upstate New York: History Happened Here! by Chuck D'Imperio, which was just ok.

I read Through Poverty's Vale: A Hardscrabble Boyhood in Upstate New York, 1832-1862 by Henry Conklin, which was interesting.

Now I am reading Enslaved by Ducks by Bob Tarte and Frederica by Georgette Heyer.

I have started a year planning to read one book per month. And I can already see I wiil not be able to achieve it, because it's the end of May and I have read only 3 books so far

I'm currently reading "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Partly rereading it, because I started it 5 years ago, then stopped and now I don't remember half of the things that happened

Aside from this series, I also plan to read someday, preferably soon: @memoriam

@wulfilalice: I mean that does count. I would count that. LOL. I'm also mostly focusing on cross-stitching this year too. So many projects I got set up to do and not enough time in the day to do them.

@Arachne: That's why I never continued reading that series. I read the first two and decided to take a break from it. That was 10 years ago. I will need to reread them before I continue that series.

I have to return my library books on Friday, and I'm still not done with 3 of them. Luckily 2 of them are on hoopla, so I can keep reading them from there, and I really don't like the 3rd one anyway.
