So you know Temple Grandin's works!
This is the first I read, and apparently she has written a bunch of them, but definetely it has a great balance between personal experience and references to science.

Oh, yes!
I found them about a decade and a half ago
-my grandfather had adopted a rescue dog who had something of an attitude problem, and she's written a number of books on animal behaviour, so that's how we found her as an author.
From there we ended up checking out everything else that the library had by her...
I should check again.
I bet there's more now!

So the one thing I've been disliking about Cape Refuge is how religious it is. Almost down the throat in some places. My favorite is when they say "he's a man of faith, he would not kill anyone." I find it funny because I watched a true crime vid on youtube about a good Christian man being a murderer sooooooo faith has nothing to do with it if someone cracks. Other than that, I do like how it is giving me small hometown feel since everyone knows everyone.

As if nobody ever in History had used religion as an excuse to kill other people ¬¬

Ikr. But good Christian's can't do no wrong. Oh well. I checked my holds I got for ebooks and oh my, it was at 12 weeks last week and now it's 9 weeks. Hopefully it won't move faster because I was planning another read before that one.

Checking in with another update. Finished the book on dreams. It was a little less than I'd expected. Still interesting, but I wish it had more reliable sources like books instead of wikipedia. Not to say it didn't have any reliable sources at all. But wikipedia is cringy to see. Anyways.
Next up I'm feeling that fantasy book. Let's see if I can remember anything from the first volume XD
Spoiler: TBR update5

I would not count Wikipedia as a source on anything.
I mean, even Wikipedia articles are not supposed to use another Wikipedia article as a source, and that says a lot.

Congrats on reaching your goal! :qstar:
No goal is small, it's always a challenge for the person setting it, therefore it's worth celebrating.

Exactly. That's why I'm kind of meh, disappointed. Most of it was a source from word of mouth so yeah. At least I got some inspiration to my fantasy book I've been planning to write XD

Then *confetti rain*, I guess is in order? LOL

Oh heavens, sources...

I went to a museum with my family... was it two months ago? That sounds right.
And one of the explanatory plaques was clearly lifted straight from Wikipedia because there was a "citation needed" left in (which made me laugh).
Then we realised....
If the museum staff (or volunteer, whoever did it) had removed that "citation needed", any museum-goer could have taken a photo of that plaque and then gone to Wikipedia and cited the same "facts" while attributing it to the museum....

Source tracking is scarily hard for how important it is!

I used to use wikipedia as a source for materials when I had to write papers since they do have where they find their information listed. It's still a good source of knowledge and learning, but I wouldn't use it for writing papers and the like.

Wow can you imagine if they get the info from the museum, then the museum gets it from wiki, then the cycle continues.
