Just finished 'Are We All Lemmings and Snowflakes?' in a matter of days. It was very triggering as the main character is bipolar, I'm not sure I could have handled reading that a few years back when I was really struggling with my mental health.

Anyway, J's mum gave me a few books yesterday that she didn't want anymore! So I'm getting stuck into those now. By the looks of it they're all thrillers.

Never heard of that one, JG, sounds interesting! I love books like that. Makes me feel like someone else understands when a good author can bring that stuff to life.

It was definitely super realistic. I recognised thought patterns and emotions directly from my own past. Apparently the same author has done a few on that kind of theme.

Just finished Cards on the Table. Agatha Christie turned the tables on me like, three times. And there were only 4 suspects. I'm working through Follow Me Down now. It makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, but I can't say that the characters aren't behaviour ing unrealistically. Gonna work My name is Parvana next.

"I'm pasty white, my eyes are huge, and I have blonde hair. 'course I look Japanese!"
NEVILLE
would have done it in four books
There's a milkman waiting in the sky.
He likes to deliver dairy so long as it's homogenized.
There's a milkman waiting in the sky.
He drives a rundown milk truck
And his milk's been pasteurized.

He told me;

Let the bovines moo it!
Let the bovines chew it!
Let the bovines boogie
Down, down dah dah dah
Dah dah dah dah
Dah dah dah dah...

that would never work for me, from a practical point of view

speaking of which, two more months without reading, and same old "rearranging" aka copy-pasting the old list instead of new plans for May and June. I have removed two books, though, and added one. 'The Bear and the Nightingale' leaves the list because it's become more of a dnf than a let's-give-it-another-chance, and 'The Thackery T. Lambshead Cabinet of Curiosities' because it doesn't sound like something for me right now. instead there's 'Sea of Rust' by C. Robert Cargill, let's see if I actually read it or if its fate will the be that of the other books on the list XD also removed one of the books from the preliminary list for summer. I read a few pages from it and I'm not sure I'll come back soon

Spoiler

'Artful'
by Ali Smith

'Spinning Silver'
by Naomi Novik

'Sea of Rust'
by C. Robert Cargill

'Moscow 2042'
by Vladimir Voinovich

Algorithms to Live By
by Thomas Bulfinch

The Fifth Season
N.K. Jemisin

'Memoirs of Lady Trent'
by Marie Brennan
