It's fine, I just swapped the top two books, no big deal. Now I'll read that one after this one.

I finished Percy Jackson: The lightning thief yesterday and started the sequel, sea of monsters, today.

Yea thanks!

It really bugs me that Percy is only 12 in the books. In the movies he seemed so much older and I think it fits better.

I am almost finished with Gwendolen. I can't wait for it to be over. It's boring, and I hate the writing style. The author keeps reminding the reader that she's talking about the main character. For example: "....and yet within the hour she, Gwendolen, had had...." That "______ she, Gwendolen, ______" sentence structure is so overused in this book. I feel like it's on pretty much every page, and it's driving me nuts at this point.

That's super annoying, Sanssouci. I had a book early this year I nearly gave up on because they insisted in putting something in brackets in every other sentence.

I don't really get honestly why brackets are used in fiction books, but that's probably because I hardly see it being done. Though the book I'm currently reading does it...
@Sanssouci; I do respect your perseverance. I would probably have stopped reading the book

Anyway, for me my reading challenge for this year is only 6. I don't think I've ever actually completed any of my challenges, so I went lower every year. Though now I'm reading more often in the evening and I'm hoping I can actually raise it later this year. Though I've only finished one book this year. Probably going to finish the one I'm reading now this evening.
And then back to the Witcher Saga. I took a break of it because I wanted to read something light and fluffy, so I started The Girl Who Drank The Moon by Kelly Barnhill. And I'm loving it too bits!
