sooo my approximate list by october remained very approximate
and I read two tiny comics instead

'Fangs'
by Sarah Andersen

'A Quick & Easy Guide to Consent'
by Isabella Rotman

Spoiler: planned

'Club Shadowlands'
by Cherise Sinclair

'Anatomy of Criticism'
by Northrop Frye

'Reinventing Comics'
by Scott McCloud

'52 Гц'
Макс Фальк

'Advanced Physical Chemistry'
by Susannah Nix

'Русский без нагрузки'
by Юлия Андреева

'Русский язык на грани нервного срыва. 3D'
by Максим Кронгауз

~

but in october I reread "Spinning Silver"!
goodreads counts that towards the challenge :mcheh:

not sure what to plan for the rest of the year because
the semester has started and there'll be a lot of work.
there IS a lot of work, I'm just not doing it

Finished the final book in the Age of Fire series by E.E. Knight. One giving the overall series a 3/5. The last book had me confused on what was happening. I really only enjoyed the first 3 books and the final 3 books where... interesting? The final 50 pages of the final book were just underwhelming to me.

Anyway at 11 books read this year. Might still somehow make it to 15 books read for this year. I got two more books in another series to read and a final book in a trilogy I have been waiting too long comimg out in paperback in December to read. If I can find a short book to squeeze in there I'll read it if I have the time.

I cannot believe it, but I really made my aim for this year - 15 books! YAY

I finished "It". Man, this was interesting, but really far too long.

I also finished "Love, Aubrey" in two days, this was a lovely book, I even cried a bit.

I started "I capture the castle" by Dodie Smith (who also wrote "101 Dalmatians". I LOVE it so far.

@Rubie: 11 books is a lot too. 15 makes a "prettier" number but if you just finish the series you've been waiting to finish, that's great too

@Julez: congrats on reaching the goal :mchappy: looks like you've had luck with the latest reads (except "it", it seems)

Nice! I finished my goal too. I've been going really slow lately, so even though I finished early, I'm not expecting to get much more done. I'm hoping to at least finish Pamela this year though.

I'm kind of jealous, I'm swimming in the pool of work, courses and anxiety, still have one third of the Hobbit to read because Ash would rather watch Gotham than read with me and I can't finish the book without him because he'll make a fuss. Send halp XD
Also I kind of didn't even keep track of how many I've read this year. It's been a tough year tbh.

I'm roughly 3/4 of the way through Pamela.

@wulfilalice: 15 is my original goal for this year so that's why I'm still aiming at it. I changed it to 12 a few months ago. I can't complain though, this is the most I've read in a year for a long time.

@mem: I don't envy you. I would be so annoyed and finish the book without him.

Luckily The Hobbit isn't a difficult book so it's quite easy to get back to it even after some time. But I surely will not make the same mmistake ever again. I did not anticipate to read a simple book for so long :mcheh:
