I haven't read in a while. This spring I released the opossums that I got last fall. Then I was just starting to catch up on things around the house when I ended up getting a bunch more opossums. So I'm not really getting anything done unless it's opossum related.

Time to update my challenge.
Well, I'm reading Orlando by Virginia Woolf, which would fit into the last category
Amura wrote:My aim is to read this year at least 2 books in each of the following categories:
- books in Galician language
- about feminism - 1/2
- books related to science/maths
- any of the books that have been sitting on my to-read list for way too long
I'm very close to finishing this challenge!

Finished Cape Refuge last weekend. Was pretty meh about it. It was to much religion talk, not enough solving a murder. I ended up reading about the author and realized she was a Christian writer and the publisher is a Christian publisher. Explains a lot. Dumb that the book wasn't in the religion section at the Library. Or who knows, I might have gone to that section because my library is just 3 big shelves for adult fiction and not really marked out what section was what.

Borrowed House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas as an ebook last night and started that last night. So far, it's good. Not really sure how I feel about how almost every character is "sexy" and "edgy" lol. I did hear it was hard to get into and doesn't really pick up until the last half of the book so let's see.

edited this because I keep confusing the series name with the title of the book

I've just finished the book on Mortgages & Equations.
Which I know does not sound fascinating to most, but that's one topic which I like to teach to my students so it would be nice to learn about it from the hand of economists.
But it was quite dull to be honest.
One formula after another one, little explanation and less examples.

I'm almost done with House of Many Ways By Diana Wynne Jones. I've haven't had much time to read, so I have been working on it for months.

And how are you liking it so far?
I did not like it half as much as Howl's Moving Castle or Castle in the Air, but maybe it's just me?

So I found the downfall of borrowing ebooks from the library. Was halfway through the book and went to renew it...except I got put on the hold list again. I went to go check how long it would be before I could borrow it again last week because it was originally telling me 3 months. Well it apparently was available sooner, but I missed it so now I'm waiting again. Sigh. I'll eventually get to finish it. It does make me worried for the LONG ebook I want to read (pretty sure it's over 1000 pages paperback or close to it). That will take me a while to get through seeing as I can only borrow it for two weeks at a time then back of the line of the wait list.

Do you know what I do?
I use Calibre to convert them, so I have another different file in my computer. Which is not time limited.
That's the one I send to my e-reader, so I don't have to worry about deadlines.
