It’s awful. North Texas gets heat and snow, which sounds worse, honestly.

I’m too shy half the time. It feels like barging in, and I’m not great at that.

That’s nice. I’m glad you had time to unwind.

It’s half four here, and I’m searching for writing resources. I’m doing experiments in prose poetry, and I guess I haven’t read enough.

I was hugging my giant stuffed penguin, so i’m relaxed. c:

You don't get any snow where you live?

I get the being shy about jumping into a thread, but most of the time people are actually super happy for more people joining the conversation and keeping the activity up.
I personally am not too shy about jumping in if the topic is something that I really feel like I have something to add to. If I just want to post for the sake of it or some light chatting, I can be quite shy as well.

Are you searching for examples to get a better feel for it or more theoretic resources talking about it?

Awww, a giant stuffed penguin sounds wonderful! I love big plushies :)

It happens rarely, and everyone gets excited and/or panics.

I’ll be on the lookout for conversations that interest me, then! :D

Both! Admittedly, i’m not searching very hard. I’ve only written three pieces, and they’ve all taken so much effort. Trying to streamline the process.

It’s my favorite. It can’t be washed, but pillow pets can. I kinda want a pillow pet for my birthday now. They’re big, too.

Did you change your avi? I like it, so soft and flowy! And the colours go really well together, even though there's quite a few different ones happening :)

I'm actually not quite sure what prose poetry is - is it poetry that is not in verses/rhyming or something like that?

I just googled pillow pets - my they're cute!
I actually have one plushie that goes a bit in that direction, it's a cow pillow. But you can't fold it like you seem to be able to with these, it's basically a square pillow with a head, tail and short stubby legs.
Which one would you want to get? :)

I did, and thanks! I saw the background in the market and thought it would work well with my other items.

My interpretation is lines of prose scattered between lines of verse. But, again, I may have the wrong name for whatever I’m doing.

Aw, that sounds cute. I adore the fox, with its face and little feet.

I have no idea what that would be called, so you may well be right and I just don't know about it. Sounds pretty fun though!
The closest I have done to that was writing a songfic where the lyrics were scattered in between my text, but in that case I obviously only wrote the prose part myself.

The fox is super cute indeed! I really like the dinosaurs as well. And the panda and the brown bear and and and...

The first took months for me, but I really like how it turned out.

I LOVE stuffed animals. They’re soft and squishy and always happy and cute.

Pillow pets seem awesome because they can be thrown in the machine, even though they’re huge.

Do you have it posted somewhere public? I'd love to read it :)

Oh, yes, soft, happy and always ready to cuddle :)
Actually I think most of my plushies can be washed in the machine according to their tags. Although I try to avoid it anyway, because I'm worried how exactly they'll come out afterwards. We have quite a few from ikea for example, those can always be washed as well.

I posted it recently here! I do need to keep my website/portfolio updated better.

My penguin can’t be washed because it’s 20 inches and will get waterlogged. But Lips the fish (from ty) has been through the machine multiple times without incident. I think if you’re worried but want to clean them anyway, running them over with a damp cloth and optionally mild soap, then drying in the sun, is safe.

Oh, lovely! It's really cool, it paints so many different pictures in my head and it feels like there's a story for a whole novel hidden in there, hinted at...

Now I kind of want to try writing something in such a mix of styles, it seems like it could be a lot of fun!

Yeah, wiping them down a bit from time to time is probably a good idea. But come summer, I might also attempt washing some, when it's nice and warm out so they can dry well.
