Maybe it is because the contest is not announced on the first page yet? Or is it always like that?

Anyway, I did it, I made an avi and tried to enter it! Hope this is alright :)

I like the idea though, it is a real challenge and you get to see all those interesting facial hair items you never use ;)
I agree, the valentine mustache is really kinda cool, but I opted for a plaited beard instead, because those sparked a theme idea for me... Was a bit difficult colourwise though, I wished those came in more colors.

I just hope I managed to see all the possible beards and didn't miss any that have a weird name or something.

I did it! I bought the rest of the items, so now my first dream avi is officially finished! It feels great!

I'm also really happy you decided to join the contest... I'm kind of sad I didn't have enough FP or I'd have probably had everyone on the honour's list...

I'm glad you talked me into joining :) I was always somewhat intimidated by the Collector's Corner, but it seems really nice so far!
I imagine it must be really hard to judge such a contest... There were so many entries and a lot of them were really amazing.

It was my first time hosting a contest and it was so much harder than expected,

but all in all I'm really happy cause everyone seemed to have fun and mentioned how they'd never really used the item, but liked how it ended up so that's really fun for me to hear too.

And yup! It's a really nice place to hang out and talk about avi items too.
The only downside is sometimes you see these amazingly gorgeous avi's and you can get a bit discouraged then, but usually it turns out there's things about your avi's they like too and feel the same way about (so in the end, everyone's nice so far and just happy to see new combinations of items they'd never think of otherwise...)

Will you do it again? I bet you could come up with more topics that challenge people and make them use things they never use. I think that's fun :)

Hehe... I will and I've already got a next topic, but that one's a hard one even for me, so I dunno yet when that'll happen...


And the topics range from items to avi's to life. Just jump in whenever. I've noticed some weeks it's mostly complementing the theme and avi's. Other weeks there's so many conversations you need to look through over a dozen pages to find all the entries...

That sounds really interesting! Now I'm curious, I hope it happens soon ;)

Updated the thread with another dream avi! This one I made for a contest over at Frosty Castle - the Chinatown Eyes were the item to create an avi around. Luckily I actually won that contest so I get them from that :)
