Yeah, EDS is rough. It might be hard to do the testing to see if you have EDS with your mobility issues. It's a lot more common than originally thought. It's just hard to diagnose.

What kind of skin problems?

light; I think my issues come from the wasting and my chemotherapy history.

I bruise easily and get pressure sores. My skin also seems sensitive, though that’s mostly in bony areas.

I am getting AFOs! Hopefully they help.

That's possible then.

EDS causes fragile skin. Most of us get bruises easy. Our skin is super soft too. Very fragile. It tears and we scar very easily. Wounds take a really long time to heal. Plus lots of us have very stretchy skin. I don't have stretchy skin but
I have the rest.

I don't know what AFOs are?

Ankle foot orthotics. Basically, they help keep the foot in alignment and supposedly help stop knees from bending backwards. I’d be happy if it just helps me walk easier.

I have NF2, and that’s enough. Tumors on the central nervous system, mainly. Causes problems everywhere.

Oh nice. I hope it helps too!
My knees bend waaay back. So uncomfortable. lol.

Well the EDS is a connective tissue disorder. Almost every part of the body has connective tissue, so there ya go.

Lame sauce. Yeah, the central nervous system is pretty central to life.

I’m very happy with my therapy so far; they know their stuff and aren’t pushing me to be “normal”. I’ll be starting vestibular therapy for my balance and complementing that with a stretching and strengthening program.

Honestly, I’ll have less free time soon, but that’s okay.

Yeah, we can generalize to health problems stink.

Today I did no writing, but yesterday I wrote a lot (for me), so.

That's good. I'm glad that it's going well. It's so nice to have health professionals actually be helpful.

Endless doctor appointments and therapy sessions do eat into the free time. But it might be nice to be doing something.

True that. So true.

That's okay. Everyone gotta rest sometimes.
Good job getting some writing done yesterday!

Are you still stressing out?
I imagine it's very fun. I've never drawn one before.

light; ikr? It feels like a lot of them are clueless or set in their ways.

I was hospitalized last year for aspiration pneumonia, and a speech language pathologist there forced me on a diet I would choke on. I think she was trying to persuade me to get a feeding tube.

I am still Very Angry over that.

It was long, for me, and kind of cranky. I should post it somewhere.

I think there will be another part.

nan; like Ursula? Was Ursula actually a mermaid, though? Like what is her proper classification?

I told a doctor that I dislocated my hip and he basically said I was a liar. He also said that all my pain was caused because I'm fat. What a dick.

That's just awful. Like why would they want you on a feeding tube unless absolutely necessary? I would be super pissed too.

A lot of my writing is cranky too. lol.

Ursula is a Cecaelia. It's an octopus/human. I think it's a subspecies of mermaid.
