Awww Wishbone is such a cute name for some reason???? :'c

UWU these days, even a trash can can be in an art exhibit, jus sayin'

Audriella: Ooh... That sounds... really scary. I can't imagine (but also could) a surgery to fix something but will affect another thing...

YES A TRASH CAN

You know, something I noticed of kofk community. Many people here are so open with each other, and I feel that comes with just being respectful. Imagine that in the real world, hah.

Nan; the consequences otherwise would have been worse. Took me a long while to realize.

:D filled with treasure!

I think it helps that kofk is smaller? We get the chance to know each other. Bigger groups/sites can be weird...

Audriella - Eating anything tasty?

True that. Government likes to make sure that we can't have happy lives for some reason. I hope that when I do get disability that it won't be gutted because of Kevin's job. Ugh.

Huh. Sounds complicated. It must be really hard to decide what to cut and what to leave alone.

Yes they are good babies. Though Wishy did try to sleep in the bed with us a day or two ago. There is no room for him in the bed. There's barely any room for us in the bed. lol. He was laying on me over my legs and hips and I couldn't get up at all.

Nankuii - It's harsh but true. I'm pretty sure it is anyway. I'm too lazy to actually look it up.

It's because his coloring on his face looks like a wishbone apparently. I thought it was because of the tv show (since the colors of the dogs are the same).

I do wish that people would be more respectful to each other.

light; I’m enjoying breadsticks! Found a kind that when cut up, I can eat. :D

Non disabled people in general seem to think disabled people have to be miserable and downtrodden all the time and breaking out of that makes you an ~inspiration. It’s a toxic societal narrative.

I’m not an expert on this, so check with your lawyer!

SSDI shouldn’t care; it’s not means tested. However, you cannot work more than 20 hours a week. There’s also a monthly wage cap if you do work.

SSI might care? If you have shared bank accounts that routinely total over $2-3k, you’re not likely to even get it. I think $3k is the liquid asset limit for married couples. This includes savings and any retirement accounts if applicable.

I don’t think they’ve changed the asset limit since SSI’s inception.

You need to pay ‘fair’ rent if you’re on SSI, or your check gets cut. Ditto groceries. Keep receipts. They used to want a record of spending. I don’t know if they monitor your bank account still, but they used to.

The whole thing is ridiculous. So many strings. Also, if things go wrong, they’ll send several letters and ask to talk to you on the phone or in person. Each time.

Yeah. I had a neuro and an ent operating on me I think. It was really hard deciding when to operate, but then I had increasing balance issues. Not a good sign.

Aw, doggy. Sounds lovable, though a bit annoying when you’re trying to sleep, lol. Did you see that tweet with the guy whose cat suffocated him at night?

Nan; yeah, loads of balance issues. I can’t stand on my own. :c

Canes/walkers don’t help. I can ‘walk’ if an actual person holds my arms so I know which way is up and where I am in space. Wow, that sounds complicated.

My nerves are kinda broken?

Ah... I see :o It's interesting to hear that objects can't help, but an actual person!
Why a question mark? Is it not definitive?

Objects can’t help because one of my hands is really bad, and my balance itself is terrible. I need a person to hold me, a wall to lean on, or a chair to sit in.

Nerves are kinda like fibers with these tumors, I think? We don’t know for sure what’s gone.

Aside from my hearing/balance nerve. That was cut during surgery.

Also, is your hangout open?

I’m sorry if I foreshadowed the beginning of a food fight.
