It's one thing if I go and spoil it myself by looking something up. It's something else if people don't care if someone hasn't seen it yet, but planned on it eventually, and still talks about it with out spoiler tags. >A<

Today is shrimp tank cleaning day! I got rid of the rocks -w- they didn't like that xD

and I asked a few questions about zeolite on the one fish forum I stalk.. only answer I get was "use prime" .. like i already am but i want my questions answered about the zeolite thank you D:< I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PRODUCT! >:x

Seachem Prime is a dechlorinator that also detoxifies ammonia. Except, from what I understand it only detoxifies 1ppm of ammonia where I need it to detox at least 2ppm >A<

Which is where the Zeolite comes in! It gathers the ammonia, locks it up in the stones, and then the water is ammonia freeeee or so I am hoping. But with out my questions being answered properly I won't know if my plan will work or not >:x

I cleaned out the shrimp tank.. and I looked at where I sometimes drain the water into and saw what looked like a dead shrimp.. x-x turned out to be a dried out shrimp shell

my plan is to put the zeolite into the jugs that sit out for 24+ hours. I use these water jugs for water changes, I'm hoping that I can get the ammonia out this way.

I'ma try another experiment where I pour water through the stones the test it. o3o
