I remember my bestie had a friend who made this cute chibi avatar site and the creator got upset for some reason and just shut the site down without warning xD
That's 100% how to not act when you create a site 8u
I don't even remember what it was called.

I also had another bestie try to co-create a site with a friend.
She was doing the art for it.
I don't think it ever worked out, though 8,u

that's so irresponsible :mcargh: i know it's their site but everyone who plays it deserves an explanation.
there's this site that's still around called chibi pixel doll dressup, which is super cute. i wish it was more active.

I just had a thought. Isn't the Wayback Machine a bit like a graveyard for deceased sites?

I just had a vision of me visiting KofK on the Wayback Machine like that and I'm :qsob:

SAME. KofK has a special place in my heart now, and I'm scared a part of me will shut down along with it.

dude but the thing is i was able to buy 20 :fc: one month and it wasn't near covering the costs. less than half the donation meter that month and there were a lot more people donating at that time.

it's possible that server costs are lessened now and of course every contribution helps, but we can't singlehandedly save the site, you know? not unless we spend BIG bucks. like, the donation meter isn't even part of the announcements anymore because so less of it is being filled each time that there's no point having it there anymore. whoever can donate will, but a sitewide impact is hard to guage.

Yeah, she seemed to have had a temper tantrum and just trashed the site xD

The user who created that site was on here 8u
I was on that site too, but I don't remember what my login was.
I never really got much into it.

I really hope to donate some more money soon.
I only got to donate $15 this month and I feel so bad.
I didn't get to donate the last two months either...

you shouldn't feel bad about donating whatever amount. you're not obligated to donate and guilting yourself for not donating more instead of being happy to donate whenever you can?! :mcargh:

most months it's difficult for me to donate at all and there are real life things i would prioritise spending money on when i have spare cash. i won't feel guilty about it because that's just life. if i was rich i'd throw cash at this site, but i'm not, and neither are you. we're doing our best. :qcute:

I know. I really love this site and Firn and Starkad put so much work into it - I want to donate.
When I don't, I feel bad because I want to support them.
If this site ever closed, I wouldn't know what to do xD
I was going crazy when I thought it was down for two days...

like i said before every bit we contribute helps, but we can't save the site singlehandedly. you can't singlehandedly save it by donating more, neither can Kira, neither can i. when i donated for 20 fairy coins i helped but i couldn't fill the donation meter or save the site. saving the site isn't really in our hands unfortunately.
