I have an old short story from when I was 12 or 13 written about Hades and Persephone's daughter.

KIND of a demon's kid? Sort-of-not-really, though.

It was mostly me exploring the original story and how it interplayed with child-custody issues.... and how it would work to try and gain 'adulthood' around a bunch of immortal deities who would be around for thousands of years and still bring up how they changed your diapers.
I think Hades in that version had this kind of weird morphable character, where his mindset was influenced by all the dead souls who made it into his realms (not the ones who didn't have the ferry fare and were wandering ghosts, or who fell into one of the rivers and lost their sense of self, or what-have-you-else. The complete souls inhabiting his realms), so that as times moved on and the general attitude of the souls in Hades changed, Hades himself also changed... and as the population grew into new outlooks, so did he. Just.... a lifetime behind the living world, and heavily weighted to be conservative.
I forget how that played out, exactly.
Wait, I think that was his default? But then when Persephone was around she had this massive impact that would outweigh all the dead souls, because she was a goddess, so he kidnapped and married her because he literally liked who he was when she was around.
And then the short story was about the daughter's first time staying the winter with her father instead of going with Persephone to visit Demeter, and how she's seeing his other side for the first time...

I don't remember.

It's been a long time.

But, yeah. Concept of demon's kids is pretty universally relatable.


It would never have occurred to me to use it as a name, though!

I've two reasons why I chose Demonskid as a internet handle.

First: My father was a child molester and I was often called a demon's child by my 'family' members.

Second: I was OBSESSED with Sesshoumaru from InuYasha. xD I'd sometimes roleplay that I was his and Kagome's kid >w> (or if I did the whole InuCest thing their kid..... >w>, haha)


So hence, I am Demonskid.

Through time, I became a pocket sized demon. x'D

Your 'family' though.... you didn't exactly hit the jackpot with them, did you? I hope there are a few gems here and there at least...
Although it's more likely that you're the gem to some of the others, huh...

yes i can? its microsoft office word lol. dunno if you know this but Office Word can allow you to create a Sharing Link. the sharing link can either be one for viewing only, or it can be a link that allows others to edit your document. so all i did was shared that link to my work ipad, copy and paste it into my ipad browser and voila, shared word document. XD

originally, i was gearing up to just post it on google docs and share the links from there but then i noticed my laptop's Office Word had a Share option and after having a look at it, realized i could just create an editable share link.....8U

the origin of my username: i wanted Hotaru (like "firefly") but the name is too popular a username. so i chose something similar. Hotarla. which i think i subconsciously remembered as a character from an anime i had watched on tv called SpiderRiders. a side character was named Hotarla. 8U

Moi, I had to go look up Moi Dix Mois. I can so see how their aesthetic would be up your alley! Although you're usually a little more subtle, a little more elegant... more sophisticated, kind of? I don't know. Hm. How do I put it. Despite how elaborate their costumes and makeup is, it seems... straightforward... compared to the avatars I've seen you don.
