Yayyy glad you’re feeling better. XD
I wish the CC started next week. According to our HR company calendar, the operations side of the company is going on a week long vacation, during the Family Day weekend. So i’d have a lot more time next week, probably. XD

Pretty sure I lost my taste to...some things?
I made something for supper that I've made multiple times last year. Completely bland. No flavor at all. And then last Friday, my mom ended up positive for covid, but luckily she only had a fever for a few days, so she told me since I was already positive I need to come spend the night (lol). I got a slice of pizza cookie from the cafeteria (which I've had before and I only eat like half cuz it's too sweet) and the only thing I tasted from it was the chocolate chips. It was weird. I noticed a few other things tasting off last week too.

I definetely lost my taste, though it was quite less shocking than I would have expected tbh...
Anyway I was just glad I did not get any serious symptoms, some fever and a feeling generally awful, but that was about it.

I lost my taste too. It wasn't shocking either, just suddenly I realized I couldn't taste anything. The longer it went on the worst I felt.
Also got the worst headache of my life and my muscles just completely refused to move.
The most shocking thing is how fast it just started, one moment I was taking a job interview, the next I sat down and couldn't move anymore. Scary stuff. Especially since the time I got it (at least got it with symptoms, because I most likely got it some more after) was at the very beginning of the pandemic.
So yeah, glad you recovered enough to go to work Rubie. That wasn't a fun time at all.

It was just a "wow why does this not taste like anything?" moment.
I really thought I just had a really bad cold until the person at the office informed us he was positive and I'm like "I bet that's it." I told someone that I felt like someone slammed my head against a wall. lol. The first time I had it, it was just a bad cough for like 3 days, but they still had the isolate for 10 days rule back then so basically got a free paid vacation for two weeks lol.

For me it did indeed look like a particularly bad case of influenza but different. Like worse but also kind of different. It's pretty weird.
Unfortunately, back when I had it, they absolutely refused to test anyone who didn't have textbook symptoms and since I didn't cough I was out.
And then when I started to get my taste back, only then did it start coming out that it might be one of the symptoms and I was like, seriously?

The first time, the only reason I went to get tested was that my step sisters husband was positive and we had just gotten together for Christmas. I remember there was a sign on the door that said they were going to stop testing for covid if you weren't showing the really bad symptoms like a few days after I went there.

I've had a few COVID scares, but I also don't think I've caught it yet. Haven't gotten tested once, to be fair, but never had symptoms either, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And I really don't feel like posting, but if I want to get the head ribbons now AND the hair before it leaves, then I need 350 posts in three months... O.o
