Surprisingly I knew that!

The tank I bough for our gerbils was a saltwater tank, and a lot of cleaning I had to do!

I'd love to have a salt water tank.. if only the crustys woudn't happen ono

My dad's aquarium was saltwater because he was convinced that it was a more resilient system and easier to keep going than freshwater. Not sure if he was right or just weird but it always looked good...
but my brother's tank was brackish and my sister's tank was freshwater and for all I talked to them individually about it I never heard them talking to each other, so I never got any of the comparisons....

It's left me quite confused on the subject!



Yeah, your sister is definitely going to flake out on helping to clean. :(

Freshwater you really just need to keep an eye on the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

Brackish and Salt Water, you have the ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates along with the salt content! Gotta make sure the salt isnt too much or too little with each water change! -flails- its harder! the salt content measure thing is weird too! I have one from when I tried to make a brackish jar for the amano babies >A<


salt water/brackish water stuff is scary ono Freshwater is easier and is recommended for noobs like me.



Sei's salt bath and stuff happened and he's doing well. Gill looks no different than yesterday bleh.

Going to hang them in a window so the light shines through? I always have trouble with window stuff, trying to figure out if I have to do text all mirror-backwards or not.

I'm on the second floor so I just have the text going the right way in doors. No one can see the text outside so its all good ovo
