About the film, I think no one really talks in person about jobs anymore, unless maybe when you pass a shop that has a note "help wanted, info on the spot" or something like that. So a grain of salt is in order ;P

Well, the point was that the guy was old. He didn't know how to use a computer and didn't own one so there was this whole long thing about how he couldn't apply online etc. Now that I think about it I'm not sure how old he was supposed to be, because really anyone who is THAT old should be collecting a pension or near enough there by now.
The whole film annoyed me actually. I watched it with my parents and they were all "yep look how hard it is to get benefits oh our country is going to the dogs" etc etc. Now while I agree that our country is going to the dogs, this probably isn't why lol. The guy didn't follow the rules, so of course he didn't get a payout. You have to play the game.

@jacob: So they basically made a whole film about an extreme situation... that's dumb xD Extreme situations don't make it more believable. But judging by your parents' reaction it's not so difficult to influence the crowd.
I bet it was just a cover for other, more important things going on in your country.

My family doesn't know how to work many electronics, so they get me to do it.
Setting the clocks on stuff, programming stuff, making the VCR work again, etc.
They always tell me how smart I am, but it's not really smart? .__.

And can you give a hint as to when the next Caravan will be 8u
If so, I hope they'll be together again...

Yes, there will be a Summer Event this month, but I still need to finish some stuff for it. I don't know when the Candy Caravan will be here yet. I am not really having the impression that it has much impact on posting anymore.

I have seen people posting less during them the last couple of times.
But I think if it and the event are close to each other, it might bring in more people.
I saw people posting I haven't seen in a long time.

I have some fanart of some of the NPCs that I might work on and post them and advertise the site.
I can also try to make more knuffel and advertise too.
I don't have a huge following, though xD;

I think that might be because our last event was a posting event, but the next one won't be. I have given up on trying to motivate people to post more. Most apparently do simpy not like posting and events should be fun.
Personally I do not understand it. I don't have much free time to spend on the internet anymore, but I remember when I had more time, I would spend so much time posting in various forums, discussing and chatting with other people, just for the fun of it - forums that would not even give me any kind of reward like some site's currenc. I just did it because I enjoyed communicating with other people, something I do not find as easy in RL. But maybe I am an exception, I do not know. Most people seem to consider posting as unpleasant work they feel "forced" to do if they want some items, not like something that is fun and that also gives you some reward along the way, making it extra fun.

I feel like I have fought so much to make people post more, posting events, candy caravan, posting contests - It's all pointless if most people do not want to post.

(I do feel very sorry for the few people of whom I know they actually enjoy it the way I do, because even if they like posting it becomes more and more difficult with less people around to talk to)

I honestly think I would post more if I wasn't mentally drained from my 2 jobs, having to deal with friend and family shenanigans, and if it wasn't Christmas knitting crunch time... There's also the fact that since some threads are either dying or dead, it makes it harder to post as it's hard to have a conversation with someone that is not responding, and it's highly advised not to converse with yourself on the internet.
