Ha ha ha ha, if it's unimportant then nothing comes along about it to make you forget or get confused?
There's times when I'll be 100% certain of something, usually some completely useless trivia, but I don't know where I learned about it, so even though I'm sure about it, I don't trust it anyhow.
Where does that kind of knowledge come from, anyhow?
It's all very well to talk about Jacobi's imaginary transformations being a natural result following the Gudermannian, but I couldn't write them out for you and where did I even learn about them to begin with?
Maybe it isn't right, because the source was wrong, and if I don't remember the source, then....

I used to read random facts for no reason at all, which lead me down the rabbit hole of reading more about it. I still remember some of the random facts from then, but more I don't know. Or don't remember the specifics of the fact if it included numbers.

Yeeeah, remembering random facts that no one ever asks (or cares) about is absolutely a skill of mine. And having songs that I haven't heard in ages that just randomly pop up in my head at inopportune times, that's also a skill. You ever start remembering Feliz Navidad just after waking up? Yeah, that's me.
