They're also sold commonly in many Asian countries (I think it is a Taiwanese Dessert?).
There's this festival called the "Night Market" that I know some places in North America sometimes have, though that might only be fore cities with large populations of Asians (more specifically Chinese people :o)

I don't know much about the USA but I know it happens yearly in some places in Canada.
Vancouver has a large Asian population so they host a night market every year <3
There's vendors, street food and magical stuff everywhere :D

My teeth are super sensitive too =/ I try to use special toothpaste that claims to protect your teeth and build up enamel...it does help but I still have issues with cold things and sweet things >.<
I don't understand people who bite into their ice cream x.x

Ahhh I caved and bought a yellow trident for my avi ):
