Like how..?

I feel like scrapping him.. But I worked so hard to finish him. It seems nearly impossible to change him as he is now.

I don't think you have to redo the whole thing. Just make the short longer and maybe add some basic design. It kinda disappear later so it not much redoing. You can also darken his skin a bit in the 2nd stage and keep that shade for the rest.

Well.. Here's what I am doing now:
- Make the hair lighter in stage 1, also in stage 2.
- Adding small scales to 2, adding TINY scales to 3.
- Adding a bit of the stash in stage 2.

Are these changes enough?

What program do you use? Like, if you use Photoshop, you can copy the layer with scales over the next stages.

I will fix the white backgrounds.
And @Nihal, Toji's scales are reaally flat. Reason why; He's quite fast. Plus, ever seen a scaly shark? Yes, I am comparing him to a shark but the reason why is because he's supposed to be fast underwater.

What about fins? You could add those on the sides of his legs, or on top of his head. And they could grow bigger several stages.
And you could give him a tooth necklace, of a sharktooth. Things like that =D

The original character design
I added two fins on stage 2, two on stage 3 and in stage 4 I added another four and added the blue bits to them. He gets a full necklace at four, its a golden one.

Ooooh he's an OC! Now I get it xD
