I want thunder. And I want to see Bayern.
Well it's not the country that's being stupid, I mean, if I hear what you've got, the students here are better off. We don't have to pay a thing back once we have graduated. Unless we take an optional loan, but most people can manage with the study finances. Maybe a little help from their parents. The optional loan really is mostly for the university students.
Here they look at where you live and how much your parents make. For example when both your parents work and you still live with them you get about €70,- a month. When you live somewhere else and your parents can't help you you get like €500,- to €700,- I think but I'm not sure, it could be way less. I live with my parents, my Mum works parttime and my Dad is retired. Somehow that made me get €375,- a month. I really don't know what's the deal with that, but I'm not complaining. I used to get the €70,-. xD
So it's not all bad. It's just the instance that distributes it that's impossible to reach and makes it impossible to do anything unless you find really clever ways to do it. And there's the moron who made up DigiD, which is a general login system for all the governments account you need - taxes, study finances etc. It just fails in all ways but the government doesn't seem to notice. For example after 6 months of inactivity your account expires, but making a new account takes days because they send your activation code by snail mail... And apparently they came up with something new, to stop the study finances I need not only my username and password, no... I also need mobile confirmation. Buuuut you need to activate it first. How? THEY SEND THE ACTIVATION CODE BY BLOODY SNAIL MAIL.
Logic, anyone?
That sucks so hard if you've forgotten to do it and today is the last day you can do it without being fined and you read something like that. x'D
Buuut it's done so I don't have to worry anymore. At least, if I can believe the man on the telephone record... only half way though... Aaargh.... That's it, I'll just. Wait and see.
