I don't wash him often at all. xD Maybe twice a week.
It used to be 4, but then I cut back. And it's helped with
the dryness on his body, but his cheeks and chin were something
else. They got infected and started weeping clear stuff, and
they were red and peely for like a month or so. :/ We couldn't figure
out anything to help it, but after trying all these different medicines
we ended up giving him this oral steroid and antibiotics
and putting creams and ointments on his face for a few weeks.
Now it's just peely, from dead skin. But it's clearing up nicely. <3
Thank god. He was so miserable. :/ And he doesn't really get dairy
because babies shouldn't have cows milk until they're like a year old,
his doctor said. So other than his gerber baby yogurt he doesn't
get any. :x As for his soaps, I just wash his hair really quick and wash
his butt and underarms basically, then cover him in eczema lotion.
His doc also gave us a steroid to put on the super dry patches, which
has been helping. ~ I don't have eczema but apparently most babies
grow out of it as they get older. I hope he does because it seems like
a pain in the ass to have all the time. >_> I'm annoyed with it and it's
not even on me, and it's only been like two months. xD

We used mittens at first when we realized what was happening,
but eventually we stopped using them because he would just rub the
mittens on his face to scratch [ which made it a LOT worse, and sometimes
bloody >_> ] so we just kept his nails really short and kept
his hands away from his face. And at night we wrapped him up really
tight so he couldn't move his arms, and stay asleep. :x But as for products,
we only use this Aveeno eczema therapy stuff, and what the doctor
gave us to treat his skin. Sometimes we use Vaseline and it helps a lot o:
