I know what you mean. I used to think that it's only because I have the german translation, but maybe it's just the story after all...
My boyfriend gave me the narnia book for christmas 3 1/2 years ago, I think. And I came till the story about Caspian, because I wanted to read them before the movie is out - though I didn't see the movie too until now... :mcdead:

I finished yesterday "If there be thorns" and started with "Seeds of yesterday" - but I need a break! :mcdead:
So maybe I'll move on to another book for now... maybe I'll read the secret garden... ^^

I'm reading a book called Stop the Train. I don't remember the author (and I could check it if I wasn't too lazy to get the book from my room x]), but so far it's an okay story. I just started a 50 book challenge on Roliana and this will be my second book. (You have to read 50 books in a year!)

Currently, I have finished Blood and Gold by Anne Rice.

And like Affection, I'm reading Les Miserables.

Furthermore, I'm still reading Brisingr, which I have no plan to finish.

Looking forward to reading another Anne Rice book... but I need to save up on money first. LoL

I'm currently reading:

Chindi by Jack McDevitt. It's the third in a series of sci-fi books I recently got into. So far I'm loving them, and I hope the rest of the series is just as good. It's been a combination of space exploration, archaeology, and suspense all wrapped up into a fun read. Plus it's got a female main character which is usually a plus for me.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith. The original P&P meets B-grade zombie movie. Overall it's a really amusing read, but I think it lays it on a bit too thick in some parts. It's probably best read after having finished the original because a lot of my amusement has come from comparing the characters actions to the original. I get great enjoyment out of Elizabeth Bennet wielding a katana.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (light novel) by Nagaru Tanigawa. I've watched the anime and read the manga for this series and I just can't get enough. The light novel manages to hold it's own and not just be a boring retelling of events after having enjoyed the other two first. I relate way too much to Haruhi and her desire to believe in the supernatural despite her common sense.

Let's show 'em all how it's done. Let's do it all imperfectly.
