I didn't realize you lived in Alaska, my mom lived near Nome as a little girl, my
grandpa was a weather man, but eventually he moved to Alabama, and despite my mom moving away before i was born, we ended up back in Alabama. Hot humid and very little snow, but we get lightening and tornadoes!
We get random fireworks, it's illegal to do fireworks here, but people still do it.

My mom has though!
She's one of those crazy ass people who joined the Polar Bear Club
It's where you jump in the water at the coldest time of winter there. So they cut a hole in the ice on the ocean and you jump in. If you survive you made the club! I swear those Eskimos are insane Lol

Oh heck no, to the Polar Bear Club. I can't even hold my hand in cold water for 2 seconds much less jump in.
I think those sparklers are illegal here too.
I guess I won't complain about fire laws, my husband signed up to try out to be a firefighter for the next try out class.
