Are you hoping it is lupus or isn't? I know when I was getting diagnosed with fibro I reached a point where it was like, I hope to God it's this because I don't have the energy to go through even more tests and still not know how to deal with it.

I think we went in not even knowing what to expect or what to hope for. We read up on lupus, but I feel like I still have no idea what it is.

He was not diagnosed with lupus though. Apparently there is a blood test they do, and if something comes back positive, then you might have lupus. But to actually get a lupus diagnosis, you have to have a certain amount of symptoms too. Well, he tested positive on his last two blood tests. But he has pretty much none of the actual symptoms. So his only actual diagnosis right now is "abnormal lab work." They want to see him every 6 months or so though because they said he has a higher chance of getting diagnosed with lupus eventually. But they don't want to put him on lupus meds too soon because they weaken your immune system. So that's all we know for now, and then we go back in August, and we have to watch for lupus symptoms and call them if we see any, and they're going to call us if anything is even weirder with this most recent blood test.

I read like 75 pages while we were there though, which is an awful lot for me with the slow pace that I have been reading the past few months!

it's disappointing to not know what it is and what to do, other than watch for symptoms. did he get any medication at all?

but congrats on 75 pages, of course. are you enjoying the book?

Nope, no meds.

Meh. It's the last Twilight book. I don't think they're very well written or very healthy, but they're quick to read and entertaining enough, and don't take much thought, so I find them perfect for doctor's appointments!

Sounds like a struggle. I hope he will be alright and that it's something that will simply clear up and go away.

I've been reading a bit on the train these past couple of days, really helps the journey fly by AND gets the book read too.
