That makes perfect sense :qlol: though I think it's quite funny that me, my sister and mom had our periods in a very similar time. I had to wait till mine got regular after all and I suppose so did my sister.

Mine have always been a little scattered so I probably never synced up with anyone tbh XD or if I did it was only for one time and then the next month I would be late or something.

Also, I almost forgot: confetti rain for me because I got my fourth Etsy order today :mclove: although I can't believe I've only had four orders in just over a year lol. I hope they'll speed up soon. But I'm happy with this one XD

Before I was on the pill mine were unbelievably irregular. There was a time it did not appear for 4 months, then again twice a month... But it is very regular since I started taking the pill, I could tell that it will "arrive" Friday night. Always. When I stopped it was a little deviant from that. Could be Thursday, but also Saturday. But somewhere around this time. And since I have the spiral I do not have it anymore. It actually should start today, so says my app. I have tiny cramps. but nothing yet :D

I think we are pretty educated here actually.. We had 4 weeks of sexual education during 5th grade, so when I was 11. And then once more in 8th grade when I was 14. I think the whole school year. Once in a while we talked about it in biology class later as well.
HIV and AIDS were also important topics there.
So I think I know the most important stuff. But to be honest, they did not tell us much about the pill, that's true.

We had lots of sex ed, but it always skimmed only the top details for female stuff. I barely think we even talked about periods except for the explanation of how and why they happen during talking about pregnancy. Nothing about what to expect, what kind of quirks can happen from person to person, how to choose pads or tampons, alternatives on the market to those, or so on. They basically were trying to terrify us into not getting pregnant or an STD.

I use this app called Clue which helps you record periods so you can keep track of your cycle (good for getting pregnant too). The team there do a lot of research and they've pointed out that there is hardly any research done compared to male research in the whole field of sexual/reproductive health. Now there are teams like OMGyes and Femsplain trying to change that, although Femsplain recently changed to mental health instead which is a shame.

*confetti rain* for the etsy order! :qwhee:

I think our sex ed was basically biology, and that was mostly basics on anatomy and how things work according to textbooks, nothing else, then maybe how to prevent pregnancy, but barely and more of STDs talk, like for a very long time. the only pill info I remember from school is that it does not protect you from STDs XD And maybe that it messes up the hormones, idk. I think we might've had some sex ed classes that were a one time thing during probably each stage of education (so probably primary school, then middle and high, but not entirely sure, my memory's bad, lol), I remember some woman talking about how to put a condom on and presenting it on a banana, I remember some girls only class about pads, tampons and such. And I remember some (I think also girls only, I vaguely remember the lady saying she thinks this lesson should be also for boys, because it does not exclude them at all) class about breast cancer and probably some mention of cervical cancer.
I think during primary school we've gotten one or two of those "know your body" types of tiny books about periods and period products. And even a tiny calendar for monitoring your periods. I've used that for the first year of mine :D I've always been grateful for such books because you didn't need to ask any questions in class and be beet red on your face XD

And *confetti rain* for me because I think I've succeeded in taming the rats last night/this morning! :qg: They were hopping on the cage's edge (yes, there's no "roof", it's open) and first Ash tried to dominate them, but that didn't work, so I let both of them up so tehy could see there's nothing interesting up there, then put them back in. But of course, it's female rats we're talking about so, everything is always interesting no matter what, so tehy kept on hopping up and scaring the heck outta me, so I decided to just guard them. The dumbo one unexpectedly climbed up my arm and onto me, then after a while she discovered the cangaroo puch-like pocket of my pigama's top, and she got pretty comfy there. So then I tried with the curly babe, she was a bit more reluctant, but then she also climbed up my arm and onto me, then I introduced the pouch to her, so she got comfy with her sister. And then they were strolling all over my torso (and even on my head, lol) until it was after 6 am and I decided it's time to catch some Z's at last. But they kept on jumping up ont he edge, so a few times I was "playing" hop up-put back down with them until I got slightly pissed and decided they're on their own now and just waited for the glorious sound of a rat hopping back to the cage. I could finally drift off after I heard the sound twice :qlol:
I slept till 11am tho :qsweat:

ugh, essay "orz

Hm well I think we are pretty educated.. But I do not know about other schools though. I was at a grammar school so we got a lot of sex ed, I don't know about the "lower" educational schools though...
But we are very prejudiced around here in Germany. We usually say people in the low ed school get pregnant easily (which is actually observable) - so yea, maybe they get less sex ed? Dunno.

And aw, that sounds very cute mem!

Finally going to go to my Swedish class again, missed the past two and it feels like ages I haven't been there :D

I think we had a lot of education about sex, just not about periods etc. Or about smear tests or anything like that. Or about the "side effects" of pregnancy you can get... like I didn't realise until only a few years ago things like splitting yourself open, getting weird bumps over your body, and getting hairy, and stuff like that can (will) happen.

:mclove: the rats story. I can just imagine them all comfy in your pouch :3 so cute!

@Julez: I'm pretty sure we are prejudiced the same way here :qlol:

@jacob: same, only the basic tings about periods and pregnancy but nothing above that.

Alright, good to know that it's not only us here xD :mcheh:

Yea I really do not want to know all that yet xD
I also know that the hormones can influence your eyesight, so that it gets better or worse.. I fear this a little as I am blind already xD

Honestly, the things I have seen about pregnancy terrify me, so I try not to look in order to not get put off the idea XD

Oh god me too. I can just about get by without glasses around the house right now, and if I'm out with someone I can ask them to read stuff for me. I don't want it to get any worse so I have to wear them all the time (and besides which I really don't want to have to buy new glasses).
