While I'm on Kindle Unlimited, does anyone have any YA suggestions for me? They're not my normal reading stuff but I try to make myself read them for research from time to time. Not everything will be on Unlimited, but hopefully some stuff will.
Hints to help you suggest something I would like -
Love: Hunger Games
Like: The Mortal Instruments, Maze Runner
Dislike: The Gender Game (currently reading it and regretting it lol), Twilight

I'm kind of annoyed right now because last time I had unlimited, all the Maze Runner and Mortal Instruments stuff was part of the program. I had read the first Maze and all but the last chapter of the sixth Mortal books. Now they're all off unlimited so I can't finish them. Of course, I didn't know that before I bought the new subscription, so I got a little derailed from what I thought I was going to read right away.

I don't really read YA, but let's see... I think The Book of Deacon is YA and it wasn't bad but I only read the first in the series. Nimona is a wonderful graphic novel, loved it so much! Nightblade is meh, imo. Wicked Lovely is complete rubbish, again imo. that's what I read in the recent years.

I haven't read any of the books/series you mentioned, only heard of them, so at the risk of not being helpful at all here are a few things I want to read:

Spoiler: these are all very different, there are vampires, dragons, steampunk, fantasy, graphic novels, set in Europe, Asia, Africa, Americas, some are more middle-grade, some are more adult/NA, romantic stories, depressive stories, creepy stories, contemporary, sci-fi, superhero, gaming, indie authors, well-known authors
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness (I think it's YA)
Beyond the Red by Ava Jae
Shadowland by Meg Cabot
More Than This by Patrick Ness (a standalone, for once)
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron
Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb (guess it's YA too)
Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
All the Paths of Shadow by Frank Tuttle
Mechanique: A Tale of the Circus Tresaulti by Genevieve Valentine
Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson (a graphic novel)
Afar by Leila del Duca and Kit Seaton (another graphic novel)
Red Sister by Mark Lawrence (a few people shelved it as YA on goodreads)
Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede
Sabriel by Garth Nix
Fallen Flame by J.M. Miller
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco
Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older
Uprooted by Naomi Novik (another standalone)
Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee (a graphic novel)
The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (standalone)
Warcross by Marie Lu
Tiffany Tumbles: Book One of the Interim Fates by Kristine Grayson
Gamers by Thomas K. Carpenter
Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor
The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
The Second Mango by Shira Glassman
Starglass by Phoebe North
When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore
Air Awakens by Elise Kova (there's a giveaway on goodreads rn)
The Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova (also in a giveaway)
Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
Air and Ash by Alex Lidell
Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend
Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows
The Keeper's Vow by Francina Simone
Midnight Robber by Nalo Hopkinson (might be YA, I'm not sure)
Zahrah the Windseeker by Nnedi Okorafor
All Our Pretty Songs by Sarah McCarry
Orleans by Sherri L. Smith (standalone)
Liar by Justine Larbalestier (standalone)
The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma (standalone)
Updraft by Fran Wilde
Archivist Wasp by Nicole Kornher-Stace
Court of Fives by Kate Elliott
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
The Diviners by Libba Bray
The Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough (standalone)
Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
That Inevitable Victorian Thing by E.K. Johnston (standalone, and on my next-read list, and I've got a paper copy as a gift, and it's the prettiest book ever, and all things about it make me want to read it right now but I'm waiting for my reading buddy, chances are I will lose patience)
The Library of Fates by Aditi Khorana
A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin (RIP)
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews (standalone)
The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli
Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve (I think there's a movie being released or sth)
Derelict by L.J. Cohen
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry (standalone)
Ink Mage by Victor Gischler
When the Beat Drops by Anna Hecker (coming out in May. when does your Kindle Unlimited expire?)
Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (standalone)
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young (standalone)
Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore (standalone)

and this is my list of I-don't-really-read-YA, lol
it took me a few hours to find those in my tbr but at least now I know how much of it caught my interest in some way or another.

I think I'd be really annoyed too if that happened to me
