Depends. While a customer service job is easier to get, a lot of those are call center jobs, so you don't have to physically deal with too many people in a sense. There are quite a few entry level jobs for companies that just really require data entry or small things or being a secretary, which also isn't as people intensive, at least physically and easy to get into/apply for. All that is truly needed is skills with writing and excel programs and having graduated from at the very least highschool. College is for the more in depth centered jobs. Mom thinks I should get a data entry job in a hospital.

Happy Birthday to your dad! *snorts* lol I hope you weren't too bad off the next day. Why warm water? Is it better than cold in some instances? I honestly prefer ice cold or chilled water, warm makes my throat ichy/achy and I'll feel kind of sick...

Being in a call centre is the worst possible form of customer contact, in my experience. They can't actually see you and therefore they don't feel bad about bringing you close to tears. I had a friend who was working in the same place as me, except she was in the call centre department. I would sometimes go in there to provide cover because she was basically crying and shaking after dealing with a customer and needed someone to take over while she composed herself. And then I would get yelled at as well.

And plus there are those people who call you just because they're lonely. There was one woman where I basically figured out she was just a nutcase and so I stopped taking down her long, rambling messages and started just pretending to. One time after talking for half an hour she asked me to read it back O_O I kind of panicked and had to pretend I had been told I needed to clear the lines for some reason and that she would need to call back later lol. She literally talked to me for an hour one of the times she called.

@jacob: Thanks for the compliment! :qh:

@Ms_Zuralli: I have to agree with jacob, call centers are the worst. My mom used to work in one and she just couldn't handle it. I worked on the phone for a short while because of some curvy circumstances in the office and I can say that at least for me, working like that is the worst thing possible. I'd rather be on the front desk, telling people which floor they should go etc. than deal with people by phone. they don't have the decency as they pretend to in person.

And warm water because cold makes my throat hurt and I feel sick XD I often add lemon juice to it to make it better. Or I make a potion: a small slice of ginger, warm water, lemon juice, honey. Yum :3

You guys aren't wrong. Too many of my clients have expressed the same feelings about call center jobs. My mom has even told me I would be too aggressive for a job like that as I have a short temper when it comes to bullshittery and would more than likely be fired for making a customer cry. Doesn't change the fact that because no one likes that kind of job, it's a job employers basically hand out willie nillie. It isn't my first choice anyway. I would like to work as an assistant (as that is what I am now) or in data entry. Though I've been thinking of opening my own brick and mortar shop.

@jacobgrey: A friend told me a similar story about a guy that consistently calls the company she works for. They're on first name basis and everything now because he calls so much.

@memoriam: Have you ever tried Korean jelly tea? You can use it as regular jam or put a tablespoon in hot water. I like the lemon one while my parents prefers the ginger one. Because of the honey that's the base, it is very soothing to the throat as well as refreshing.

I need someone to do data entry, too bad I can't afford to pay you :'D Would be super cool to open your own shop though. What would you sell?

The jelly tea sounds super interesting, what does it taste like? Like tea? Or just like the flavour you choose?

The plan, if/when I go that route, is to do a tea parlor with a yarn shop/boutique attached to it. Besides tea, baked goods and yarn, I would sell my hand-dyed silk scarves, soap and bath bombs, beaded jewelry (bracelets are my specialty even though I make earrings more), hand made knitting/crochet notions, and hand made bags, quilts, and garments.

It tastes just like the flavor you choose. It's fruit bits that's basically been marinating in honey. So lemon would be have a honey lemon taste, citrus is normally orange flavor, ginger is too intense as the flavor gets more intense the more time it "marinates", and I've been too chicken to try the others as it's not exactly cheap to get, about $6 bucks a jar though I would have to say that the jar is fairly big... but that's 6 bucks on something that may or may not taste great. A friend recommended the plum flavored one so I might try that. If a store near you has it I highly recommend getting some, especially the citrus or lemon flavor. It's nice to have on a cold day especially if your not a tea drinker but want something hot that isn't coffee or hot chocolate. It also taste great cold so you technically could make lemonade without all the work of cutting up lemons. I have also tried some on a bagel. Wasn't half bad.

That sounds cute. People could sit and make things with the yarn they just bought while having a cup of tea :)

I definitely think I need to try some. It sounds amazing~ I'll search around and see if it is available over here.

@Ms_Zuralli: I've never even heard of the Korean jelly tea :o But if it's even available in Poland then it's probably in special shops with foreign food and it's probably diablo expensive :'D They sound interesting though.

@TrickyLA: I sent you all three ^^
