Since I started with first gen and squirtle was so amazingly awesome I kept on going with water pokies xD

I loved the first gen pokemons but in my opinion Pokemons at present can't quite match the epic feel of the first ones.

Exactly!
That's the exact reason why I stopped watching the show. It feels like ash is some sort of immortal despite the fact that the show has been running for a couple of years now. And it gets quite repetitive.
