I love these little lizards/geckos 8,u
I used to catch lizards and snakes and bring them into the house when I was a kid.
It'd freak my mom out xD

This one time, I was talking to a lizard and...

Me: -talks to lizard- 8u
Lizard: -flicks its tail at me-
Me: How dare you >8u I've been living here longer than you! You--
Lizard: -suicide leaps onto me and runs away-
Me: It gave me the business then assaulted me uB

LMBO! I showed your gecko picture to another friend I have in Texas, and she was jealous that someone got one to stay in the hand. LOL She loves the little geckos and anoles, but they... pretty much give her the business and run away.

Aww. My friend thinks she just has something about her that animals don't like, even though she's a nice person.

Me, I'd probably wake up in the morning and have to check for lizards sleeping on me before I moved. >.>;

Could be she's too harsh and scares them away.
I don't mean that in a bad way, but some people are...too forceful when dealing with animals.
My mom and sister are like that. They run up to cats and just try to grab them and the cats run away. Then they get upset because the cats ran away.
I keep telling them they need to move slowly and be more delicate 8u
Sometimes it works but not always. I sometimes scare the cats away too xD

I'd always welcome lizards but never roaches. I HATE roaches. They just hang out around the house too. They even eat the cat food. I told my mom the roaches meow now <<

I think she's actually too hesitant and anxious. Forceful isn't something she's too good at.

Yeah. Most cats hate to be rushed like that. It's cat language for, "IMMA KICK YOUR AFT!"

Then I have no idea 8u
I just know I slowly approach animals, speak gently, and make slow movement.
If they seem scared, I'll stop moving and just talk to them.

I cried last night because I saw a lizard got smashed in the door xD
I was so upset I'm not even joking >>
This little life was just snuffed out for no real reason and it was probably my fault ;;


I will often move my hands around so the cats stare at my hands while I step closer.
Most of the time it works because they don't notice me stepping closer. I also pretend I have food in my hand and I say "Here -holds it out-"
When they get close, I'll pet them or pick them up. Then I'll give them a treat 8u

Poor lizard bug.

I'll do the slow thing. I'll also sometimes just sit and ignore them, or do something and talk.

Yeah, I felt so bad for it and I cried it out last night xD
I don't know if it was one of the ones I rescued or not ;~;

We're trying to get the calico cat to come to us.
She usually hops around and follows me while I put food out, but she won't let me pet her yet.
I petted her briefly last night while she wasn't paying attention xD
