Uh huh, and a wicked sense of humour. lol

And I think you'd look really good in it. You have the sort of face to go with a gown like that.

Gotcha. You don't really need me. Thanks for talking anyway. <3 I'm glad you have lots of peeps.

I have a little guy. He looks nearly identical to the Build a Bear one. Speaking of BaB, the slippers I bought don't fit Crumbs Sugar Cookies' feet. They don't even really fit on Boo Horse.

You said you like Honkai Star Rail, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlhzUcMe4jk

You almost have to have a sense of humor if you're into historical costuming and recreations. 'cause some of the things people in the past did were WILD by modern standards, but they made sense during the time period they were doing the things.

Let's be real. I just want to have an excuse to wear a big, poofy princess-esque dress, and that one's a dream dress, but I've also got other dream dresses in that same era's style that are less ambitious (aka they won't have a crapton of hand embroidery). I've also got other eras I wanna make, plus even older eras I want to explore in terms of clothing recreation.

Gonna warn you now, I'm gonna be pretty swamped later this month, and for the foreseeable future with one of my TTRPG streams. Also coming up on four years with the D&D game that is a friend's first foray into being a Game Master (I was in his prequel one-shots as well, which were literally his first time running games ever), and we're also hitting session 100 on our anniversary, plus I've got my own game that I'm running, as well as job hunting, and working through the process of chopping off at least 6 inches of hair to get a fresh start on things. Not to mention all the peer support group stuff I do each month.

I do like HSR, but I haven't been able to play because I can't access my account currently. :/ I do still wanna make the Trailblazer (both male and female), and Dan Heng (I've got his head done, except for his eyes and wig. Saving up for a body for him, and a new head for my big girl because the head I originally got was a little too small, proportionally).

Well, according to guys at the time, they didn't really understand why the tailors put pockets in the tail coat tails. XD

Yeah. Fluffy dresses are fun. I still remember one grad gown that I tried on for fun, and how good I actually looked in it. If I could have, I would have bought it and worn the corset style top (rhinestone zipper front) for every day.

February is going to be busy for me too, because of teachers conventions, but not so busy as you! I hope you can have lots of fun.

I just fixed UtterlyWeird's neck, but I'm still thinking of getting her a new body.

Oh, do you think you would like a Groovy Girl doll, and have you still got the things that I bought from you? I showed a friend your sulky Heatwave picture the other day.

Yeah, that one, even I can't explain.

in the winter, layers of petticoats and some bloomers are considerably warmer than pants alone lol. so those big calico dresses that working class ladies would wear could be really lovely and warm.

May the chaos for both of us be manageable levels.

I have a source for the head and body stuff picked out, but if all else fails, I'm also thinking of giving sculping a head for my big girl a try. I can get sculpey or another type of polyclay, and I've already got sculpting guides I did of my head from pictures.

I'm still working on downsizing and packing stuff into totes, but I know I've got Maeve's body nearby (was working on it the other day). Wheeljack's around here somewhere, and the clothes for your big girl are fighting me currently, mostly because of the math of translating a dirndl pattern I have for me down to her scale.

LOL. You don't need to tell me how much warmer a good skirt makes life. I may not have so many petticoats, but when it's not snow and slop past the ankles I wear a long dress, petticoat, and leggings whenever I go out. So comfy and good.

Yessss. I'm asking God for that. And that I can quit hyperfixating on work.

It's not too hard to sculpt, if you have halfway good hand eye coordination, I think. But I am no expert on the matter at all.

Which big girl were the clothes for? Did I pay for those? Gingerbread elf! Bitty Jack doesn't need the sparkly eyes. How about the driver lady?

This winter, I've gone back to layering skirts. I need to finish the skirt I made out of old curtains (Just need to put bias tape over the seams to protect them. it's just a lot of hand sewing and I be lazy some days lol).

So mote it be.

I'm just really rusty with sculpting. I'll get back into the swing of it eventually.

Your big obitsu girl. As for Wheeljack, I've got an increasingly narrowing list of places he could be hiding, and driver lady?

Used to love hand sewing. Hands and eyes won't do it anymore. :/ I have projects!

It's playing with mud for a good purpose! :D I wonder if the flexible polymer clay would be any good.

Ohhh. If I haven't paid for the dress for the Obitsu, I don't need it anymore. I've bought her something. I forgot I asked you. *embarrassed* I just hope 'Jack doesn't blow anything up.

*growls at phone spell correct* I wrote drider. The spider lady figure you painted. I think I remember sending you monies for it.

I'm hoping I can still be able to do hand sewing well into my senior years lol. Same with machine sewing.

Yeah, I also have a bust of a beloved character that is now retired (because her campaign is finished) to make for the bottle where I stored the dice I used in her very last session.

Ooooh. Okay. I thought I sent the drider already. She might be in the big box I've still got for you that I've been too broke to mail. I keep hearing snoring but can't ever seem to find the source, so at least we know what 'Jack is up to now! XD

I've never had a machine. I could probably still do that. But trying to use a sewing machine in an apartment building would probably be a nightmare. I can imagine my reaction if one of the neighbours was doing it.

Aww. Are you going to doll her?

Nope. Spider lady never arrived yet. I bet she is. Do you want shipping money? You really oughta get that done before the price on shipping goes even higher (and I'm not saying that because I want the stuff, shipping is getting bonkers). LOL! I remember the last time you talked about him he was in your sewing box, so that fits.

Remember lady Legacy? She's teaching at Miss Minchin's school for girls, and helping Hattie and her husband now that they're getting up in years. She and Eugenia swapped places once she got her feet under her and she started being... well, a Legacy! Eugenia was feeling a bit overwhelmed with so many new younger siblings to try and keep track of, and she never could stop trying. But having just the young Denver to love has helped her grow. She and Denver have a thing going where they bring food to poor families in a couple of old time Englands. Denver's still also going to school, and has a new school friend named Starsong (Cureall and Kigan's daughter).

Machine sewing has its time and place, hand sewing is good for small pieces and small spaces.

I've got a prototype around here somewhere of Soakosh (the character), but I haven't had the brainpower to focus on her in her final look, because of all the detail I'll have to put into her.

I think he's realized I'm looking for him, so he's hiding.

As for the box, yeah, shipping money would help. At the very least, you'll be getting a lot of goodies.

I've brought a version of Legacy into my D&D game. And a version of my grandma. Both are NPCs that the party met in one of the cities, and because the party managed to save the Legacy, I had to throw out a good chunk of late-stage encounter stuff. lol
