I've tried vegan cheese and man...it really tasted like nasty smelly socks - it was so bad, I couldn't believe people eat that! I like coconut too but it's just not creamy like dairy - it's watery, to me!

I have to take Charlie to the vet today - he's almost done with all his vaccinations and stuff, my goodness there's a freaking truckload of them! I'm just taking Charlie and so I expect that Cami is going to mostly lose her mind while we're gone.

Just like you can get milk and you can get cream, you can get coconut milk and you can get coconut cream.
The cream is much thicker, the milk is more watery.

But I've never found a vegan cheese that I liked. If you find one, will you let me know? My mother can't do dairy at all so I've just been avoiding any dishes with cheese when she visits, but if you can find a decent vegan cheese I would be very happy!

Yeah, I don't know if it would count as cheese anymore, either.

Mostly I need a substitute for the cheese that goes in the peppers when you make chili rellenos, a substitute for putting atop pizza, something to take the place of blue cheese crumbles (for multiple dishes), and one that works instead of sweetened cream cheese for danishes & blintzes.

Cheese that's made from dairy is so versatile, I'm pretty sure that any switching out has to be tailored for the thing you're making in specific.

It's tricky!

Oh ho ho..I've tried everything under the sun to try to replace my creamer and nothing is as satisfying. I even did the BPC coffee for a while and it was good? But...in the end, not what I wanted to stick with.

I feel your pain about your phone, Raine. I just use the little slidy thing for my password? Alan uses the finger print and i'm like omg how am I supposed to look at your phone? When we cook, a lot of the times one of us will snap a picture of the recipe on the phone. I forget my passwords all the dang time. It's frustrating. I hate when they're like oh you need a capitol letter or a special character i'm like omfg do you know how stressful this shit is for me???
