happened, but... I think my Photoshop skills were rusty when I made the first stage and improved somewhat in the second with practice. The first stage likely won't get her adopted very much, since it looks so plain, but hopefully some people will look up her other stages or see my Knuffel thread. And thanks about the eyes! They took forever to dodge and burn just right. :)
The top part of her clothing is sort of Japanese (except the layering is reversed, right over left, which is only done for funerals), and the sleeves are similar to those on a
furisode, only they're even longer. The dress, pearls and all, is from something I sketched about six months ago, so the Japanese elements are the only ones I can be sure influenced me. I don't recognize anything else in it now.
@TimTam: Yeah, the... dullness of her first stage would be off-putting to me too. I can only hope people will see the spoilers before they decide whether or not to adopt her. And although the art evolution wasn't intentional, I think I like the effect when I see them all side by side.
