but yeah, i heard about this as well lol. so um.......its always best to consult a Chinese person if you want a tattoo with Chinese characters lol.

I'm waiting for the weekend because mom has dr appointments all this week and they've been exhausting me.. I've been missing out on certain battles in SINoALICE because I've been falling asleep.. x-x

The sword was pretty.. and I agree with you that the writing should have been in sentences of some kind that read out what was needed.

I really liked the chemistry there was between Mulan and the Commanding officer. It's like she gained a second father. >w< I was all "AWWW DADDY MOMENTS!" hehe... "Come home and marry one of my daughters" "owo..... yeaaaa........"

And I cried when Falcon died QAQ She just wanted a place in the world too!!! I swear though, Li Gong makes for a really good female antagonist. She was Hatsumomo (I think that was the name) in Memoirs of a Geisha.

And the emperor.. I saw his face and was all "I KNOW THAT FACE AHHHHH"

And bloody hell did I keep seeing Khan as a near nekki hawt guy every time I saw him.. x-x I didn't see a grungy bad guy... i saw Mowgli... uuughhh... he still has those eyes!

REFLECTION HAS A CHINESE VERSION! >:O I needs the OST NAO! I love hearing my favorite songs in different languages!

Like December Lovesong by GACKT! It's got Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean (prolly others but those are the languages I have)

BoA sometimes does her songs in Japanese, Korean and English

ONE OK ROCK did a Japanese edition and a International edition of their AMBITIONS album (why the Japanese edition got to have Avril Lavigne in "Listen" where the international version didn't I don't know)

Avril's "GIRLFRIEND" song has a Japanese version >w> was fun watching japanese guys go "hey hey you you i don't like your girlfriend, no way no way i think you need a new one, hey hey you you i want to be your girlfriend!" haha

And this song called "All this Time" by Trish (something something... sorry bad with names) some Japanese guy did a Japanese cover calling it "Ichiban"

Anyway...... I want the bluray of this movie NAO >:o

I love that it was different from the animated version. While I do adore the Lion King remake and how it followed the original, I do like it when adaptions also become something new too.


My internet went out while I was watching Mulan. I came on to type out my feels for it and it was all "YOU HAS NO NETS GO WAY!" x-x so from Noon to 9PM.. I had no internets and I am now heading to bed QnQ

Like it wasn't just mine, it was a internet/phone/cable provider blackout! OAO my neighbors had no internet or phone.. x-x

I ended up watching "The Green Mile" and "Cats" waiting for it to kick back on...

one person that i recommended the movie link to didn't recognize whom the emperor was. xD i told her and she was like "WTF REALLY!?" my parents had the same reaction when i told them lol.

yes, the original Mulan voice actor made a cameo at the end when she introduced Mulan to the emperor.

Yeah the emperor was wearing a mix of cultures which was weird, someone i know who watched it mentioned it as well. the make up for the matchmaking scene was weird too. it looked like geisha make up, although i'm sure somewhere in chinese history, they might've had similar makeup practices....

Oh, it does actually say "Loyal Brave True" but if this was truly culturally Chinese, you wouldn't just smush three words together like that, ancient chinese people would probably do it with a lot more finesse, poetry (possibly in a half couplet meaning "loyal, brave and true")

my mom liked Cricket lol, he was the "cute fatty" lol.

the witch was kinda sad. like just because she could use chi, she was discriminated for it and called a witch. all she wanted was a place to belong. and then she dies. it was very tragic.

i'm not surprised Reflection has a chinese version. after all, Mulan is a chinese folk tale lol. i also heard the korean version and its lovely. i also liked the new song by Christina Aguilera but my mom was iffy about it lol.

I've never seen geisha make up have yellows and oranges.. White face, red lips, eye shadow, and a little bit of red/pink on the cheeks and that's it. the whole part on the forehead was weird.. like they ignored 'geisha' make up ways and wanted her to look like a phoenix, because that was their guardian deity.
