*huggles Spirit* It's alright, I hope you feel better.

So because I wanted to bring my mom with me to my first Meetup, the main organizer of the Meetup group I joined asked me if I was eighteen (the group has an eighteen and up policy). :mcsweat:
I am, I'm nineteen, but the fact that she had to ask tells me that I shouldn't be relying on my mom so much at my age, but I need her support since I have a ton of social anxiety. :mcgloom:

*hugs back* thanks, mostly just a spring cold more then anything and sinus drainage.

Honestly people like that irk me off, they used to do the same thing to me when I was 18/19 as well. I had my COLLEGE tell me that even though I was 18 and in MY home state could legally sign documents and not require having a parent recieve my report card by then that because their state which I was NOT a resident of nor was living on their campus had a policy of 19 that I had to abide by that. I felt it was ridiculous when both states were bordering one another and the fact that it violated my state's legal laws in terms of it's residents. Was not a good first impression after I'd already started going there when they pulled this a month after classes started. That college closed in 2010 because they exchanged owners and couldn't get reaccredited(for numerous reasons) but I always suspected that might have been one of them, because every other college in the same state doens't have that same policy of forcing that state's rules on non state college attendees. (and the only other one I went to was a state funded college so that was a big issue to me when it wasn't even brought up on it when I transferred)

Long story short, don't feel bad about relying on her, because there's a lot of worse things then simply relying on your mom for moral support(I do the same and I'm 28)

I'm 32 and I also relay on my mom. But on the same time she know she can relay on me - after Dad passed away she finally started to see adult in me, not only her child.

And now I will give out some flowers *sings*

People like that irk me too, I was honestly wondering if she was judging me for relying on my mom. I was thinking this group would be perfect for me, but I'm starting to have doubts without even meeting them yet, that's part of the problem with waiting to meet people I guess. The more time you have to think about it, the more doubts come up. Thank you very much for telling me you rely on your mom as well. :qh:

That's very sweet, thank you very much for letting me know. I hope I have a relationship with my mom like that someday too. :mchappy:

There's no shame in relying on others no matter how old you are. If you have amazing and supportive parents, you should keep them in your life as much as possible.

You have hugged ml1201!

I've already been five years in college, buying my own things, making my own doctors appointments and stuff. So I bought this cake thing from work and one of the ingredients on the fourth line down was alcohol, and when my mom read that on the box she started to flip out on me saying I'm not allowed to have that because I'm not 21, even though I graduated high school at a normal age of 17-18 (I was actually 18) and she knew I had been in college for five years, which would make me 22 at youngest. I had already turned 24 however, so me and my dad were like 'wtf are you talking about, ml is 24!' Though of course my dad used my real name. x'D Like the only thing I relied on my mom to do for me was give me the numbers for my doctors so I could make an appointment, that's it. .-. Then again this is the person who yelled at me because I wanted to buy capris for work that had pockets because none of the ones I have have pockets on them, trying to tell me to just wear stuff around my neck on one of those things used for ID cards and stuff, when one of the things I have with me is a box cutter. =.= Yeah, sure, put a blade around my neck. :mcmeh:

A table top roleplaying game. =.= And as a side note, even people I game with who haven't met my mom that I've told them about the things that she does, don't like her at all. And all our friends that meet her, don't like her either, they want nothing to do with my mom. That's how crazy this person is. =.= And she says there's nothing wrong with her, everyone else is the one with the problems. =.=;

*goes into a corner, grabs a pillow and screams into it*

Sorry, gameportal I rarely buy from just really making me angry right now because of their lack of reading comprehension and lack of getting a hint to drop a matter because they've wasted two weeks to even acknowledge the matter only to send the most wrong advice imaginable. (hence one of the reasons I very rarely buy from them)

I told them last week to drop the matter after they e-mailed me a link on how to "redownload games" when their stupid drm wrapper was blocking one of my computers from playing certain games, and I know it was the drm wrapper, because I tested both games from other sites and didn't have the same issue. I asked politely if there was a change to said wrapper because they havn't done that in quite a while and usually give some notice, and yeah, apparently having it where a game won't load due to your drm being messed up means you're having a lovely time not being able to redownload a game /sarcasm.

What I got today was an e-mail claiming they had asked me for more info(lie as I never recieved any such e-mail and I have them safe sendered so that wouldn't occur on e-mails not recieved) and that if I didn't reply in 5 days they'd close the matter, I would have ignored it(they oh so got a reply back that didn't hold back punches) but that just set me off royally. Me screaming into a pillow is no where near the scope of what I want to do right now.

Sorry just in a really bad mood because of this so i may be using that for a bit.

Edit to add: reason I don't buy off the other sites that i checked with was one had it's special edition which didn't have stuff cut out that made the game act weird only on this portal, and the other was from a portal I don't buy from because their prices are higher then everywhere else. I'd love to drop this one but unless the games go on steam or my normal portal big fish stops rejecting the better versions of games, I don't have much a choice.
