Not sure what's the name for it, since he sees all the colors. However, shades are often a problem for him. I'm sure he wouldn't be able to tell difference between kofk's blue white and gray white or cream/light sand/sand brown. He often sees light purple colors as blue and turquoise shades as either light blue or green. His old car had this pretty pearl blue color and he was sure it's white :')

I knew somebody that would lay a bet that my old pearl-brown bike was this dark shade of Purple. :D

Doesn't a person learn colors based on what they learn in school? Like if they learn something is brown, even if it's not even seen as brown to them, it's their brown?

As you can read here colorblindness is something one can develop later on in life. So even though you have learned all the correct colors in school it can still happen that you start messing some colors up. :}
