The only way I'd allow myself to be famous was if I was a famous author. One that could hide themselves and just let the mystery be part of my famous charm. Autographed books? Well, I can sign a set amount and have people go nuts looking for them. It'd also allow me to secretly gather opinions on my book(s) with no one the wiser so I'd know what people liked or disliked.

Sure, why not. I do not think it is a goal for me, but if it would bring me money or wider access to knowledge and other resources, I would like being famous.
