Agree to disagree on the ADHD. And when I was a kid, it cost money to get diagnosed with dyslexia (enough so the school actually had to care). That may have changed, though.

Hmm that might be true, but it would prevent those who have at least C range grades from failing. Speaking for myself I'd pass easily but everyone is different :)

All I'm saying regarding to the testing system being wrong too, is I had to change my major in college because I could not remember the dates in my art history class. I did not want to be an art history major, I wanted to be a studio art major. But at my college, you had to take four art history classes, two undergrad, two upper grad. I flunked out of the first undergrad class twice because I couldn't remember dates on the test.
My entire life path was changed because of that.

Kyan, giving teachers more freedom to simply label something a pass/fail without any kind of restrictions will not help you. Your grading system needs to be more consequent.
I hear people arguing about your crappy school food but nobody seems to argue about what and how your schools teach except for the endless debate of silliness between science and creationism.
Well the thing that everything apart from food and clothes costs too much money in the US is a horrible illness you can't get rid of.
I think it's absolutely alright to ask for dates in a class called "art history".
Why you had to take so many art history classes as a studio art major is a mystery to me though. I really don't get that. Unless those were like, only a quarter of your classes concerning art.
And I literally do not know what undergrad and uppergrad classes are supposed to be. Please enlighten me. Are undergrad more advanced? If so, why aren't they the ones called uppergrad?

Undergrad is usually the first two years of college in the US and courses are more generalized. Uppergrad are usually the last two years and courses are more specific. So let's san an undergrad class is art history from the dawn of time to the renaissance, and then another undergrad class would be everything from the renaissance to current day. Well an uppergrad class would be... just rennaisance if you wanted that to be your focus, or just impressionism, etc.
And I get that dates in an art history class are important, but making me memorize the date periods of every major art movement in history felt excessive. Especially when it's well known that people with artistic brains, don't understand numbers as well.

Aaaaah okay.
Eeeeeeeeeeh well that's what I gotta do in German now and English Lit very soon (not looking forward to it) but that's just stuff you gotta know for the test, then forget.
We have a term for that kind of studying btw. Bulimia-learning. Force everything in, spit it out on the day of the test, forever forget about it.
But I've gotta say that you don't need to understand numbers to memorize a date. If you have a problem with that, you may have dyscalculia.
