I suppose it depends, because in my oppinion drows variate from middle blue to almost black-blue. I've never considered them brown though...
I think my version stems from the drow time I saw and heard of drow. That was in some computer game and they were dark blue with white hair (can't remember the name of the game though)... and since then I've always liked this colour scheme
Plus there's the problem, that I wouldn't have the right copics for a darker blue skin XD
