I like smelling flowers when I wake up, it somehow makes me feel more ready for a new day at school...
It must be so nice to have a house full of lilacs!
During weekdays I stay in a room near my school, so I don't have a garden there. I really miss having some nature near me during the week. Thank god for friends. They gave me a potted plant for my birthday, they thought it was funny as I'm one of the few students they know that manage to keep things alive during their studies. I loved them for getting me the plant, even if they gave it a weird name!
Regular birdies don't really wake me up btw. Now pidgeons, that's another story...

LOL how cute! I wish I had time to grow things...I've done it before and I love to grow things...but I can never seem to keep them alive for long....;n; I mean, I'd forget to water them and they start to die and get yellow...*sigh* ;n; I need some REALLY hardy plants that won't die no matter what I do...XD Like a cactus LOL! xP

But I have a garden with my dad that turns out decent every year. This year I'm trying to grow my own herb garden, so we'll see how I do on my own. ^^;

That must suck to be away from nature so much. ;o; I feel too far from it here.. which is silly since I'm like 10 minutes from the mountains. ^^; I like to hike once a week... but I wish I could go more than that.

LOL well I MIGHT not be that extreme...;n; or I'd like to think that...;3; I CAN make things grow but keeping them that way....xD we have a little garden/backyard here and its always growing something...xD;; most of our plants are perennials so whether we like it or not, whether we tend it or not, each year we get stuff growing...xD

Me and a friend of mine once tested it... We got two plants from the same batch and they seemed to be the same in all aspects...
Hers died within two weeks... Mine grew so large I couldn't keep it in my room anymore... It's still growing and it's shaping up to be huge this year as it just keeps growing.
I still have a park near where I live, but it's very worn down... It just doesn't feel the same as real wild nature or your own garden that's well looked after.
And some things always turn dry and orangey after a while, with some plants it's part of their lifestyle and they grow 'semidead' for the winter and pop back up in spring, or like orchids. They dry out to start giving more nutrients to the leaves, but after a while it'll grow a new stem.
Cacti are very healthy indoor plants by the way, they're some of the few indoor potplants that produce a lot more oxygen than they take in at night... It's one of the reasons that in a small room or in a bedroom you can only keep cacti. Otherwise it's not healthy for you.
Sorry for rambling on... I'll stop now... I think... God I love plants too much...
