I feel like an emotional person also. :mcangry:

I can't hear stories of sexual abuse or anything either, Mem. I get angry and sad as hell. And I can sometimes get upset watching the news. And I get sad watching anything about animals being rescued from abuse, even with happy endings...
There's a place where a lot of people end their lives in my area, and stories in that vein appear on the news a lot which are super rough.

Aaaalso. Since I met my boyfriend, I get really upset by stories about couples - like someone losing their partner, or an elderly couple at the end of their lives, or anything. I teared up watching that dating show where an elderly man was looking for someone new, but was remembering his wife at the start of his segment and teared up showing her photos and remembering their everyday life. I AM GETTING EMOTIONAL REMEMBERING IT HELP :mcargh:

It baffles me that I can feel so affected by stuff that is so clearly not affecting me or my people.

I don't know if I'm emotional. I was trained since early childhood that my feelings were no good, so in my teens I just stopped feeling. I feel now, and I know some movie scenes, like the one of the old couple on the bridge in 'San Andreas' can make me cry, but most of the time I think I'm confusedly watching other people get worked up about things and wondering if I should feel that way too.

Because of my anxiety as a kid and early teens, I'd cry a lot. At anything. Just trying to speak to someone....cry.

So in my later years of high school and after, I sort of got this habit of not being emotional but because of that I think I don't feel as much as when others would like sad scenes in movies.

Although I cried watching dead poet society.

Like I still get emotional but that tends to happen when I'm really depressed.

Also I try not to get angry so much, I can have quite a temper.

And so I just sorta am meh a lot....

@Feb: I do that too sometimes, literally anythig could set me off into crying, I don't watch news because they make me depressed. Last time I watched something properly was about the terrorist attacks in Paris.
Animals make me cry, heart stuff makes me cry, even birth and kid stuff makes me cry... I just can't watch anything, I cry at nearly every movie I watch :mcheh: I even cried on Scarface... and I hated that movie :mcargh:

I think we're just too empathic maybe? XD

@River: I went through that phase of being emotionless, mainly because of my temper but also going by "logic" that if I don't feel, I won't feel hurt.
Middle school was a dark time in my life :mcargh: Then I had to re-learn some stuff, now I'm fine. I even laugh quite often :mcglee:

@Tam: I think it's fine if you don't get so worked up about stuff, it's better for your health :mclaugh:

I cry at so many movies :'D I empathise with the main characters and get really upset. Also I think I maybe subconsciously use it as an emotional outlet, so I watch a weepy movie on purpose so I will cry and vent. Although not consciously on purpose I guess. The worst one for me is PS I Love You, I cried from the second scene onwards for the entire film. Definitely not one to watch if you get sad at couple stuff.

I have always cried a lot.
I got called a crybaby and bitched at for crying.
I thought I was a weak person because I cried and had very...strong emotions xD

I don't cry as much, but I do let things pile up and eventually explode.
So It looks like I'm crying because someone cut in front of me or I dropped a soda and what not.
I know it's bad to let things pile up, but that's how I am.

It can get to the point where I want to physically hurt something.
I end up taking it out on myself.
Which is why I would love an actual punching bag.

A lot of the time, I switch between emotions quickly. Like...
Me: Can you believe that !@#$%&* I'm going to !@#$%&* I hope she !@#$%&* dies horribly-- Oooh a chocolate 888D -eats- Anyways I really love that new ___ 8u

I don't know if that's normal or not xD;
